Full Version: Suggestions for the Next Tournament

Considering the current tournament is only two weeks away from completion. It is about time we open the discussion for what the next tournament'll be. It doesn't have to be over a metal subject.

It could be best song ever, best punk band, best anything you can think of *Shrugs* It doesn't have to fit a certain genre either, could just be best band ever, etc.

I suggest we do a 'Best Cover Song' one, and begin it with nominations... after a certain amount of time, the songs with the most submissions go into the actual tournament.. anyone else like this idea?
stilllife
you could do the best countryfor music. we could nomimate countrys and give some bands from the country and then vote.

How about "The Best Classic Rock" (1960s to 1985)

I second the notion of a classic rock tournament.
Miss Spookiness
Best Guitarist.

Me too, good suggestion Miss.
Vex
I'm actually strongly against that one. Unless you're being specific to genre it's harder to determine guitar talent.

Would that be in technique or style, or both?

Because I for one prefer Tom Morello over Yngwie Malmsteen.

Hence my point, I'd like it to be more specific than just best guitarist.

I'll probably wind up doing more than one tournament at once though.

I'd like to see one for the 'music sluts'.

You know, people like Mike Patton and Devin Townsend who are involved in anything they can get thier hands on. Side Projects, making thier own record labels, producing other artists stuff, guest appearances ect.

My nominations list would include:

Mike Patton
Bjork
Steve Wilson
Devin Townsend
Trent Reznor
