Buffy sat down after reading her poem to her Literary class. No one was saying anything. No one. Just silence.
"Well," Mr. Petarson said. "That was..interesting.." He said, sitting behind his desk.
"Wait a minute.." A snobby prep girl spoke.. "Was the supposed to be about vampires? I thought vampires were only killed by silver?"
Buffy said nothing.
"Thats werewolves, dumbass.." Some boy said.
Buffy slunk in her chair. They all thought she was weird. She was glad that next period she would see Willow, Tara, and Xander.
The bell rang and Buffy was the first one out of the door. Thank god, she thought.

"Hey, wait up a second..."

dawn finished school early and went home ...she opened the door and walked inside ,,she dumped her bag and changed into her red velvet top and black baggies ..and jumped on to the couch and turned on the tv ..she sat there watchign cartoons .a couple of hourse before buffy was due home..." man this is soo boring ...i wish somethign exciting would happen " she said staring at the screen then the clock " well buffy should be home soon anyway " she said and took out some black nail varnish and began to pain her nails...as shesat there on the couch'

Higan walked beside Buffy, giving her a friendly smile.
"Gomen ne. My name is Higan, I'm the transfer student from Japan."
He paused for a moment, trying to keep up with her.

dawn looked at the clock on the wall " only one hour till shes home ...man im sooo bored i know ...ill go throw buffys stuff" she said with a smile on her face ..she ran inot buffys room and began opening all her draws ..boxes and things ...when she found Buffys Diary " oh man i hit the jackpot " she said falling back landing softly on the bed ..she unlocked it and slowly opened the cover her emerald eyes now gazing apon the forbiden pages"

"Dawn? You home? I had to come home early today.. Hello?" Buffy knew something was up when Dawn didn't answer. She rushed up into her room.

"Sumimasen! I must be holding you up," Higan apologized. "Ja ne!"
Higan turned as soon as Buffy and her friend were out of sight, and smiled to himself.

Buffy found Dawn in the bathroom by her bedroom, and her bedroom door was open. She walked in and looked at the bed. It was messed up. Dawn had been in there.
"Dawn!" She yelled. "We're you in my bedroom?"

NO ......WHY WOULD U THINK THAT ?" she says washing her face at the sink " i would never go in ur room ..id never come out alive " she said looking at buffy " so how was school ?" she asked tryign to get off the subject of buffys room"

Buffy knows she was in there. "Well, lemme see. My bed is messed up and my Diary is on the floor?" She waited for Dawn's answer.

Higan entered Kaori's darkened, damp lair.
Kaori scent filled the place, not that it was unpleasent, but with Higan's 'special' powers, almost anyones scent got to him if it was strong enough...
Higan walked up before the dark kitsune, and quietly bowed before him, waiting to be able to talk-

"You stink of human," Kaori spoke, his voice like ice.
Kaori leaned forward, a small line of light hitting his face and turning his eyes blood red. He glared down at Higan with a snarl, showing his fangs as he stood, appeared behind the smaller male, and yanked Higan's head back by the boy's silken hair-
"You smell like the slayer. Speak!"

well u see buffy its not my fault a cat got in ..i had to chase it ...it wouldent leave the house ...i gtg " she said and quickly grabbed her coat and ran out the house slaming the door behind her " by buffy" she said and huried off down the street...she slowed down as she got a good bit away from the house and walked smoothly downthe road ..it was cold ..but not too cold .." man that was close " she said fixing her skull clasp so that it held her hair in place as she walked past her fav shop " DEVILS LAIR .....wow" she said stopping ..she turned and walked up to the window and pressed her hands against the glass..inside was all her vampiress dress..her new rocks ..her trench coats ..her cockers ..everythign she always wanted " wow i have to get all this .." she said smiling ...as she gazed into the window sh forgot that she wasnt ment to hang around at night ..incase anything happened" i have to have those shoes " her voice echoed .... she stood at that window for what seemed like much more than a moment....as the rain began to fall .."

Higan tried to breathe and tried not to flinch as Kaori stood over him.
"I've seen the slayer..."

Buffy smiled brightly as she saw Dawn run out of the house. She knew she had been in there. No biggy. It was an old Diary anyway. One from like 4 years ago. Middle school. Buffy began to laugh, as she heard the rumble of the thunder.
"She'll be back... She forgot her money.." She said, looking at the bathroom counter top. "Silly.."

she pulled out 50 dollars form her pocket and smiled " so nice of buffy to give me money " she said about to walk inot the shop ..when she sensed someone watchign her ... she stopped and looked around confused ...she knew they were vampires aroudn ..but buffy said no vampire knew she was alive so why would vampires be after her " she said to herself lookign about ..she turned around turned back for a breaf moment then carried on into the shop ..her mind still on the stalker issuie...(cant spell it )....but ignoed it cause she knew buffy would never lie to her ....ever

"i wonder if buffy knows about the money ?" she asked herself pulling the 5o dollars out her pocket she she entered the shop smiling "

Kaori released his grip on Higan's neck, and slowly walked around to his front to look deeply in his eyes-
"That's interesting... What did you learn?"

dawn walked out the shop wearing a a black corset with red lace roses on it ..a meshy floaty skirt that came to her knees with a purple material underneath and long black and red strippy socks with new duffs...her clasp was still in place but she looked very diffrent " thanx buffy ...my new clothes will look great at the cathouse tonight " she said throwing away her worn and torn clothes in a near by bin ..and walked off down the street putting in her fav trenchcoat back on and headed down the street ...it was her old trenchcoat ..but her mum gave her it so she treasures it with her life "

Higan tried to avoid Kaori's eyes, but he was forced to look as if he were in a trance-
"She's still a child... And she has a friend named Willow..."

she approuched the house quietly and snuck in through an open window ....she sat on the bed one leg over the other ..lying back on her hands ....and watched the door ...knowing buffy woudl be in any moment ...she smiled at what buffys reaction would be ....she loved to annoy her sister sometimes ...since she had no true friends ..infact no friends at all ...only willow ....who was technically buffys friends not hers ....she longed soo much for just one friend ....but buffy said she couldnt have any ...not one ....all because her exsistance was a secret ..a secret that must never be found out ..for dawn wasnt only buffys sister ....dawn was the key to buffy ...she knew everythign about buffys ...the key to buffys enimes ( cant spell it =bad guys).because once they knew about dawn they could se that to their advantage ...and cause hell for buffy and family
So dawn sat there waitign for buffy ....waiting for that moment when buffy would shout at dawn for taking her money and running off without telling her where she was going ..all this was her only excitment ..her only fun ...without this dawn would be bored because dawn was hidden form the world ..in a way locked in her room in her own home because she ...one girl could hurt millions of people ..innocent people "
"this isnt liek buffy shes always home ...always " she said looking down at her watch listening for footsteps to indicate buffys presence ..but nothing"

Buffy walked into a darkened alleyway. "Oh where oh where has my little vamp gone? Oh where oh where could he be?" She skipped, her feet making echoes along the placid floor.
She looked to the shadows, and saw something. Not much. But something. "Hmm.. I wonder where he could be?" She said, stabbing the shadows, hearing the vampire turn into dust. She laughed happily and walked to the cemetary. She could hear someone behind her, she turned around.
"Higan? What are you doing here?"

an hour later buffy still hadent turned up " where the hell is buffy...its not liek her to be gone away liek this " she said " fine ill go look for her " and with that she got up walked out the house locked the door and headed down the street"BUFFY ...BUFFY WHERE ARE U ...BUFFY ...BUFFY " she shouted ..searching everywhere for her " BUFFY IF THIS IS A GAME ITS NOT FUNNY ..YES I TOOK UR MONEY ..BUT U CANT LEAVE ME .." she shouted ...she wrapped her trnch coat tighter in to her body as the cold breeze blew by ....she walked down lots of raods paths even alleys ...but nothign ..buffy was nowhere to be found " buffy where are u ....BUFFY " she contiued to shout listenign carefully for anythign ...anyone ..but nothign ..the whole town was deserted " this isnt right ...the town always has someone in it " dawn said lookign around everywhere thinkin ...but she was alone ....and buffy was nowhere in sight " BUFFY ...BUFFY PLEASE ..come back " dawn shouted ..the call dying off ...her hope slowly fading...she fell against a wall and slowly slid down in worried about buffy ...alone in the foggy town at night ...not a safe place for dawn ..but she didnt knwo what to do ...or where to go "

Kaori narrowed his eyes, staring into Higan's own. A smerk slowly appeared on his pale face, and he stood, walking away from Higan.
"Good," Kaori hissed, his back turned to the boy. "I want you to follow her... See what you can learn, then come back. Understand?"

she picked up a stone and threw it away ..it skimming across the road heading down the steps leading to an alley " oh BUFFY ..WHERE are u ?" she said staring at the ground ..fearing the worst had happened"
