I was curious to know what your opinion on Ouija boards is? I find them quite fascinating, but at the same time quite scary.

I always remember one time, when myself and a friend asked for proof that it wasn't the other, so we asked how many red candles there was in this drawer, it said 5, and there was 5. I was a little suprised, so we asked him how many gems were in this bucket, which I randomly put in, and the answer, 42 came up, so we counted and surprisingly there were!

It's always puzzled me how they work, and I think it's our minds unintentionally moving it sometimes. I found this quote from a site, which in a way adds a little to the theory.



If you concentrate more on it, your mind may be able to unintentionally move it more. I'm sure in some cases a Spirit may be trying to communicate. So I was wondering what experiences you have had?

I've tried it once, and it told me I would marry a guy named Peike. (yeah...I was 12 or so). Now I have no clue which country in the world uses Peike as a name, I've never heard of it. So I dunno.

our subconcious minds know just about everything and it's the ouija boards that enables us to comunicate with the subconcious...

My spirit guest was called rjzehdtham or something like that...now either that's totaly random or a higher level demon...my area has gone down hill recently...maybe it was a demon...

as for expirience; I have been picked up and dropped about two feet from where I was sitting while the person sitting across from me soiled himself and started bleeding from his wrists, as the spirit whom we were talking to did.

Whilst I was using a ouija board my head turned into a chicken nugget! S'true...my entire family were watching! It appeared on live television here in England late at night....

How does one authenticate that sort of stuff?

Someone I know of though who is pretty knowledgeable (I should listen to them more than I do) believes that things of that sort only work because we believe they do and that we make the things happen. I'm not so sure myself. I am prone to think that it is at least a possible a means of communication with others, though often it is just that which they said... the people using it either consciously (deception) or subconsciously doing it themselves.

I have heard stories from others also who I tend to beleive about such things describing them in ways where it could not be something merely the work of one mind alone.

One thing is for sure though. I see nothing special about the Ouija board in itself alone.

I had a ouija board that I used quite often back in the day. I don't remember the incident that stopped me from using it, but I must have blocked it out of my head. I kept it under my bed, then out of nowhere I completely got it out of my house. I just remember being freaked out about the whole idea.

The Ouija board has no innate mystical properties, its simply a tool to put you in the right mind set to be reseptive. Either to your own subconcoius that wants to have an experience or to something nearby thats board enough to bother with you. My own experinces with a Ouija board tell me its a waste of time. Just ask your self one question, "What could you possibly want to askl a spirit or ghost?" if its not important why waste their time, but if its really important why not seek a better source?

I think it was on a show... erm.. Derran Brown (same name as my dad). He told us that it's our mind moving the object in the middle, and I think that's what it is. BUt I can't understand how the people on the show, who were ordinary students managed to get the information, which they couldn't have known right. Do our mind tap into something or whatever?

Ouija Board's.

I have alot of knowledge about Ouija boards, and no... I do NOT use them. I find them Slightly dangerouse.
A Ouija board is a board consisting of either Wood or Stone, Wood being prefferd because it is a Black magick object and Magick having been in connection with growing earth, not building particles like sand or stone... Wood is usually prefferd for a stronger connection.
It has the Alphabet in line on the top of the board and the numbers from 1 to 9 at the end of it... plus 0. Ten having being a two digit number. The Yes Or No signs are not of any value on a Ouija board, they don't mean anything... boards usually containing them... are of false value.
Next There is always an earth stone somewhere on the board, wether it be crystal, emerald, onix or jade... or any other non manufactured stone. Uncut also. This is to "channel" self energy within the board. You HAVE to have your birth stone within the board for it to be able to work properly. Otherwise its conciderd to be a load of rubbish.
On the back should be a Protection rune carved into the wood, this helping provide a safe environment, because I assure you, Ouija boards are not of white magic use. Anyone can say "Oh they don't do any harm, they are a load of shit, i can use one and nothing will happen" of course nothing will happen, If you don't channel your energy, have a use for the board or have your birth stone within the board... it just wont work.
It is designed by Black Wiccans back in the early years of "The Old Religion" Long before christianity. It was designed to get in touch with the Passed over. This not being possible. Passed over souls of loved ones can not be released within a Ouija board. All have hold knowledge of "Limbo"? Limbo is a place stuck between earth and the passed on word of "Reincarnation" Now i know people believe in heaven and Hell... But when it comes to the Religion of Magick... Heaven and Hell do not come into this.
Limbo is the relm of non passed of Souls, some harmful... and not worthy of a new life and some afraid to pass on. These are a;; you can become in touch with... Thus why a Ouija board being so dangerouse.
Sure kids muck about, make them themselves... but if you are honestly trying to get in touch with "spirits" then the following terms above must be accounted for.

I have alot of knowledge of this, having studied for quite a long time and having my parents and friends know of this subject.
I do not advise people to take part in the propor use of Ouija boards. If you don't have the protection rune in carved in the back of the Board, or a Ring of purified salt about yourself... You may unleash the spirit into the surroundings about you. No they aren't flying white clear ghosts of dead bodies... souls have of no visual mass... its an eerie presence... that would best be avoided.

wow... im glad to know i wasnt using a 'real' Ouija board now... 2years ago my schools field hockey team thought it be fun to use a Ouija board.
but it was more funny watching the other people i was using it with freak
out when the 'spirit' said he was coming to rape us all while we slept and he kept telling us where he was... he was getting closer and closer apperantly, i didnt know the area very well so i dont know. None of them got to sleep that night 'cept me.... and to torture me for it the colored my face with marker... but now im going of topic...

I agree. Besides, saying: "it's your mind that's doing it" is not a real answer, I mean: do we know what our mind is? Do we know to whom or what it is connected?

I had an experience with something like an ouija board and it wasn't good: I thought it was all a joke, I wasn't scared at all, I thought my friend was moving it, but I started to feel very tired, panting and my heart was beating like I just ran the marathon and then I remembered that a medium who was a friend of my family's said being connected to a spirit could get you a heart disease, so I gave up on the whole thing. I know a girl who wasn't as lucky as I was: she got a "familiar" for years after using a ouija board or something like it. She kept hearing a woman's voice shouting at a very high pitch on her ear. It was maddening, but she eventually got better.

So I don't advise to use it. I really believe it's dangerous.

Should you choose to use this method of Spirit Contact be sure do do much research on protection and circle casting.

However, I do feel that opening a channel and saying, 'Who wants to chat?' is a little foolhearty......I wouldn't post My phone number and address on the web.....so why open a line you can't close in the eathers?

A tool for the advanced student or the Master/Mistress....not for the simply curious!
