Both of you stop with the name calling.... play nice or I start that whole delete your posts thing. And I know quite well ...... how much each of you likes that little turn of events.
Attack the issues .... not the people.

~Vilin comes out of the shadows with a flashlight in hand to shed some light on the subject~
Garlic repelling vampires is based on the old "like repells like" theory. Garlic is said to have a rather unpleasant smell, vampires of folklore were rather unpleasant. Thats the theory in a nutshell. Hollywood only expanded on the concept. ~runs back to the shadows, leaces the flashlight behind~

i know very few vamps that are allergic to Garlic because they are vamp , sure i am allergic to it , but all ti does is make me coff. And the only reason i do that is because i was born alleric to it , not because i am vamp.

You know what I find hilarious? The fact that you used that same damn insult on me, and yet you are using it again. How original, although I must give you some credit, you actually used a small amount of punctuation this time. If you want to make fun of the people on this board, by all means, do it until you are banned, but please at least make it mildly amusing. <_<

Never played nintendo, haven't read comic books since my pre-teens, got enough book smarks to get me by, you really need a library ? Must not be to good on your memorization work St. No wonder all your information is considerably cliche, well known even to the simple minds of the world, and over-dosed in the "Ive never had any real expeirience and Ive read to many vampire novels" department. You don't know what I am and the funny part is your incapable of finding out. You should already know if your what you claim to be. You should even be able to tell me what town I live in "bounty hunter".
Olivia, I never called names, you should enforce the rules though, St. Michael's thread's should be in the roleplaying area shouldn't they and not a forum that has the word "real" in it, right ?

I never understood this garlic concept- and now I understand it even less.
Personally I hate garlic....but not because of what I am....I also hate mushrooms...peppers...chilli...onions.....but anyway
My point is WHEN DID THEY EVER SAY what exactly garlic does??? The myths NEVER said whether it was the smell, taste of sight of garlic that we are supposed to hate...it's all very confusing. Not very good advice.

ok this one is for the kids, garlic, a rather nasty little plant that i dont really like, but lightly sprikled on a plate of spagetti... nice. but i am lossing my train of thought here.
garlic used by ancient doctors for various aliments of the body, so when news of a returning dead guy came to town many would use that herb to ward them off, not hurt them or kill them, just keep them away, it fell under the idea of running water, good repels bad, like magnets. hope it helps

Interesting topic. Ahhhh garlic. Which by the way I love baked and spread on bread but anyway garlic was used to ward off evil spirits due to the fact that it was strong in flavour and smelly. Didnt they stuff dead peoples mouths with garlic to stop them from becoming vampires?? I dont know, the discussion of garlic is soooo middleagish. They also used leaches to suck out bad blood. Blood letting I do believe it was called. Boy have we come along way medically.

Fights on the subject of garlic.. very strange..
But hey.. where's a fight, there's me, so I shall have my saying:
If I eat garlic I fall down on the floor screaming
If I smell garlic I go hyperventilating
I have an allergie.
You just don't like it or pretend you can't have it for being some supernatural being..
You don't know how funny this is to me.

Unless you have an allergy to it garlic is actualy rather good for you. It was used in anchient medicines as part of many cures for blood disieses. It's pruifying properties of the blood are responsible for it's legendary mythical ability to repel vampires. read as far into it as you like but it is at the end of the day a myth. now stop fighting.
