Err.. Im wanting to know if you people agree that this is what we think it is or if we are compeletly wrong.. before we screw up even more. The deal is last saturday was my friends party.. She is into this stuff with the rest of us so of course she has a big dance party followed by a seance (sp?) at about 12:30 which included about 7 people.. her(anna), her boyfriend(Lee) , my sister(Bri), her friend(Kerri), and two of our mutual friends(Yolanda and Gwen). We tried to even it out but the remaining people were too afraid. So we ended up with a water (me), a fire (Kerri) , three earths, and two airs (the couple up there). My sister took the salt and herbs Gwen had made and made a large circle of protection that contained the oak tree we were doing it by.

Yolanda stood in the approximate direction of the north.. I the West.. Kerri the South and Lee the East.. each of us called the corner when Gwen lit the black candle we were holding and then we sat the candle on the edge of the circle and went to the center..

I admit .. the ritual was not in any way written by me.. I read it and made some suggestions to Anna but she was the one controlling it. She wanted to be the focus.. or whatever you call them so she started contacting a ghost that almost all of us had seen and had given the name Savannah.. (something about her reminded me of my visit to Savannah Ga) we all got excited when things began happening. Such as a girl crying from behind the tree and then instead of Anna speaking Lee began saying what he was seeing and hearing and it mainly included her being afraid of her father and hearing a man's voice screaming at her in the background. Anna continued to try and contact her and get her to speak to her but it didnt work. The temp dropped completely which wasnt weird at first cause we were outside and it is kinda fall so we didnt really associate it with anything. I kept seeing something to my right so I finally looked over and saw a man standing some ways off. Once he noticed I had saw him he ducked down but didnt completely hide until he disappeared. I told everyone and so they started looking out side our ring too.

Seconds later I felt the need to look over to my right again and sure enough there he was but this time he started walking to his right towards the trees and as soon as he dissappeared a wolf appeared where he had been standing and ran towards us. I started scooting away cause if it was real it would have attacked me first but half way too it it fell over as if shot. And then loud stomping started circleing the circle and growling could be heard. Lee started shaking badly and looking over his shoulder saying he was screaming at him and everyone could hear the stomping and growling. And Savannah was crying agian and then she stopped and he said she had left.

You cant imagine how releaved I was .. I was the first to see her and so I was afraid she would do something to me.. its not exactly my dream to be possessed. We thought it was all over but my friend anna was determined to have it talk to her so she started calling for her father to enter the circle and talk to us. I nearly killed her. I dont think she has ever done something so stupid. As soon as she said it I got the picture of something crawling up behind me.. I looked and sure enough the grass was moving exactly where I had seen it in my mind... snake like.. and scary as all hell.. I got Kerri's attention and Bri who were both holding my hand and they looked. They got scared also. Something happend that I dont remember but distracted me from the crawling cause I was looking foreward at Lee and Anna when something grabbed Kerri and my hand and then moved up right next to us to where it was in the circle also.. I was freezing like it was less then 20 degrees outside.

Gwen and Anna started screaming for everyone to stand and so we did and a wind blew through blowing out half our candles. We sat there looking behind me at where the grass was moving like big snakes were comeing. Then Anna's mom walked out and compeletly disrupted our circle by walking through it and spraying us with water from a coke bottle. She said she wasnt going to let us harm her family by calling demons up and that she was blessing us with holy water. All the candles.. books.. us and everything was soaked. And Yolanda dropped the candle so Wax went completely down the side of Anna's head... We grabbed everything and ran in the house as quickly as we could.

My mom says that it sounds like it was a demon to her.. Im not sure but It might have been.. We have researched it and it sounds like it.. but .. I dont know.. and I dont know what we should do.. most things say to do everything we did backwards but I dont see how we could do that.. anywho.. if you can help .. the sooner the better.. I dont want to be caught on Samhain with a demon after me.. -.-''

when did you do this? was it before the last week of September or after.

As I have written in a few threads now, this time of year is dangerous for any seances until mid-November as while "halloween" may be the climax of the time the rest of this time is also dangerous as the veil between the worlds is thin and other things can come through all you need to do is open the veil a little. Sounds to me like you opened the veil and some one or some other-world animals started to come through. If your lucky all that came through were some little animals if not than something bigger. If you lackt he spiritual ability and skill to control the veil properly "which your story would suggest you don't" than you shouldn't be haveing seances or useing any magic for that matter until the veil is back to being a barrier.

Ok, first off...what do you consider as a demon?

To me this sounds more like a ghost, or several. Or, it may be a lingering memory, something happened there at some point that released so many emotions, good or bad, and left an impact on the participants. So much so that the memory of the event stayed behind, even after the people had left, like a psychic fingerprint. If that's the case, all you did was trigger it, probably, and perhaps "activated" the ghosts of those who was once there.

In either case, I would definately suggest you try some cleansing of the garden, as well as the house, and warding afterwards.

You say it look like snakes in the grass? Well i have attended seances, and held many my self, i have researched demons and ghosts. I have read different texts about demons and how people made ocntact with them in the past. And your story sounds more to be a demon then a ghost in my opinion.

The first and easiest summoning of demons, was two gigantic snakes, they came out of the depths of the nether world, but being in our world they began to srhink and literally disappear. Now they wander our world, and conjuring them up is easy. The hard part is seeing them.

What you saw sounds like the snakes that were summoned hundreds of thousand of years before. they slther slightly under the ground and it makes the grass above htem shiver, as though an invisable being is there.

Once they shrunk they were no biggeer then 2 feet. But seeing one i can beleive would be quite an expeirience. You say that the grass moved. Did you seee anything pop out of the ground? they are quit a few inches htick, and are hard to miss when they surface.

They usually come up when a form of ritual is happening, because as the text says, they are not feared in there srunken state, and they live off the fear of living things. So they yearn for someone to open the portal so they may get back to there own realm.

If this were me, I'd head to the nearest Spiritualist church and ask for help there. There are some gifted people who actually specialise in dealing with negative energies. Expect to get told off though...

Yes It was after september and yes I know that the veil or what not is thinner during this time. As I said in my story it wasnt my idea and no body was hurt.. nor has anyone been hurt so far. (err... famous last words??? )

I find that very rude seeing as you do not know me or my skills and therefore can not tell me whether I am skilled enough to be doing seances. I have not judged you or anyone else on this board and would rather not be judged either. I have attended many seances and as I "clearly" stated in my post I did not anticipate my friend calling anything into the circle or any of the other stupid stuff she did. Needless to say we are not allowing her to be the medium so close to samhain again.
After concidering every thing that happened and every time we had seen the wolf before we are supposing that the wolf was a warning and not a creature trying to attack us.

Clearwitch- I believed it to be a spirit to in the beginning... and that is why I posted it up here in the first place because I am familiar with spirits but not demons and so couldnt really decide. I was refurring to it as a demon because that is what my mom and others kept saying it was. Oo.. I suppose it could have been awakened cause of our .... messings.. but that leads me to another question. Before we did anything the area seemed... blank. if that makes anysense. I usually can pick up something from the area I am in.. some emotion or something but this place was just blank. Have you ever experienced something like that before?

I didnt exactly see snakes comeing towards me Vamp... though what you described as the grass moving is pretty much on the dot. I have never read of that before so thanks. ^^ Maybe that was what it was.. It hasnt done anything to us so far so it might have just left.

Oo.. You mean like.. The nearest Christian Church? Get a preist and have the place blessed? I dont know.. She's very catholic so if it is still bothering her then she might just go do that. We are going back this weekend and doing a cleansing either way though.

Not just any church, the Spiritualist Church. They are a branch of Christianity very much concerned with the afterlife and many of their members are Mediums. Plus, for many years they were ostracised because of this so many of them are a lot more open-minded than you would think.

I did not mean to come across as rude, I do admitedly lack some social tact. but I prefer to be brunt. In general few people in the world have the skill and training to safely open the veil this time of year so my comment was intended to be more general in nature and not to say you were inferior in any way. I also have a habit of using "you" in both a singular and plural sense as this language lacks a plural version for some reason other than ya'll which just sounds silly to me.

The question: after the incident in question has any thing else occured, any phenomonon or such that you or one of your friends involved fell could be linked back to this "if I may say so" botched seance?

My advice if anything has continued would be to seek help, perhaps call in a demonologist to identify the problem. "Demonologists normally work as professors at colleges, just so you know where to look for them" or have church posistions.

Nothing has happened really since that night cept for a cat thing but I dont want to jump and connect those two yet so ... yeah... It was an interesting experience to say the least but I dont want it to happen again really..

Nightvision... Im not sure if there is one of those churches around here and ... I wouldnt be allowed to go to one anyways.. My Grandmother would lock me up before letting me go to any church other then hers and deffinitely not to talk to a medium about demons I might have summoned... SHe already thinks Im evil.. -.-''

I was on a ghost walk in my hometown when we were taken to a park...a big wide expanse of mown grass but to one side was two great tall trees close together on a little overgrown hill...this field is always dark and often misty when nowhere else is...we were shown the trees and asked to just look at them..everyone felt uneasy...Then one of the ladies in the group ran out of the field closely followed by one of the guys...both shrieking...I didn't see anything but the space between the trees was weirdly dark which makes no sense because the light even in the night sky should have been enough to illuminate the space between...It suddenly felt really bad and we all left...When we got out the woman said she'd seen a weird little boy between the trees...covered in scruffy black fur and bearing his teeth...The guy said his legs looked broken...which is pretty bloody specific for something I couldn't even see...but screams are heard there all the time...so much that police sent to see if someone is in trouble won't get out of the patrol car to look...That supposedly is some sort of demonic 'thing'...much more than that I don't know.

One of those reason I don't like Graveyards, all those trees rooting in dead bodies and human bodies giving off ghosts and such can't be a good thing for the local plant life.

Whereabouts was this, Vore? I read some stuff about the Cheltenham area and there are SHITLOADS of tales about witchcraft and general weirdness in the Cotswolds...It would be good to research this particular one if I can.
