[B][I][SIZE=7][FONT=Times][COLOR=red]Can you really control yourself when you in a humans? Does their blood make you want to just go into a vampiric rage and start biting the closest thing near you? Do you feel like you are loseing your control and the people near you have to hold you back? Do you? :icon6:

Feeding on just about anyone shows a lack of control and a lack of wisdom, personally I don't know of any who just flies into vampric rage unprovoked.
Why do you ask?

I would have to agree with Azriela, if that is what you're asking. Your question is quite unclear on whom it applies to..

In response to the above; yes. There must be control at all times without control there is uncertainty and a possibility of doing something that you may regret. Provoked or not someone who is learned and relatively experienced will not go and latch on to someones neck out of the blue and drink their fill. The sudden urge may leave as quickly as it comes and if it lingers you put into place plans that you've made before in case the situation arose; such as a substitue for blood until you can get to a proper source.
P.S I noticed that you were trying to change somethings about the font and its appearance . .next time before you submit the post use th "close tags" option. It will close all the open tags and ensure that your post looks the way that you desired it.

one who cannot control oneself is bound for destruction... or at least the nearest mental asylum

Reminds me of an X-Files episode...
There was this weird alien type creature that was in human skin...he worked at a fast food restaurant and he had such a terrible craving for human meat that he ate one of his co-workers, and then an old lady or someone else I think that was hassling him. The whole thing was that he couldn't break it, it was like an addiction.
In the end, rather than hurt anyone else, he shoots himself in the head.
Not that I'm suggesting anything...

I have alot of control over my self, due to the fact that i go to school with ignorant humans everyday..it takes alot to push me off the edge, i also dont need blood that desperatly but its weird i get this little thirst in the back of my throat

shazbot... pardon my absence from this thread, I have been quite occupied the past week. As for the beast;
There is a little confusion, even amongst Sanguines (RLV's/HLV's) as to the nature/existence of 'the beast'...... I think this fits into the same category that enhanced senses/abilities falls under. The Beast is the concept of the inner vampire needing to feed. It occurs when you have not been feeding properly/at all. It starts out as a craving for blood. It then moves into discomfort, even pain sometimes. If you let it go too long, it can begin to 'consume you' (this process can be rather speedy I might add) You have 'uncontrollable' urges to feed. Like the next thing that walks through the door is gunna be in for an unwanted surprise. You become irritable (to say teh least), sometimes panicky, you may sweat, or shake....
Now some of you may say 'well thats a load of bs' or 'how do we know this is real'
Well, I don't have all the answers, and I cannot give you exacting proof of 'the beast'. I can just say that I think it is something that can happen, though not likely very often. It has happened to me once, and it wasn't fun. I think the reason that it doesn't happen very much is because we somewhat automatically and definately subconsiously begin to psi feed to sustain ourselves on a minimal level, when we don't feed for extended periods of time. I think the beast occurs when our subconsious fails to feed automatically, or there isn't a sufficient source nearby.
This is however all just my opinion, I haven't based my ideas on any others that I have heard of to date.
http://www.sanguinarius.org is a good place to find some articles/posts dealing with the beast, and indeed most other problems Vampires encounter. A very good starting point for 'new' vampires.
If there are any other questions I can entertain feel free to ask :P

I think the beast makes sense although i have never had it happen it seems completly possible to me.
and as for the original question yes i have control yeah i can control it, after i have blood i sometimes have big urges to just go bite people but i wouldn't because they could have HIV, Aids...and because i personally think that taking someones blood that doesnt even know who you are/are unwilling is just kind of wrong, even if the idea of that turns me on i wouldn't do it.

But I warn you, I can't hold on for long...

i feel so sad now...
this one time I just had an 'uncontrollable' urges to feed and i bite my boyfriends wrist...
and as for what Revamp was talking about, if I become irritable and sometimes panicky, and shake and stuff is that a bad sign?

depends in what context you are talking about. If it's because of lack of blood/cravings, then quite possibly yes. If it's totally unrelated then I would go see a doctor.

I have yet to lose control to the point that I went after just anybody... I came close at a party once, because a bunch of the people that I normally feed... "With"... Were there, adn they were all really hyped up, and I could hear their pulses.. It pushed me to the edge, I'm telling you...
