When it comes to things such as wearing sunglasses in class?

I have glasses that shade themselves in coalignment (ok thats the wrong word I know) with the light
so i don't worry about it, I always see the same brightness :D

As escoban was trying to say; there are glasses with dual lenses (they change into sunglasses when in the sun and vice versa)
But why would you need sunglasses in class? Does the sun burn your eyes that much??

Why bother with school and the slaves contained in it. I always had a tutor come visit me, I also never had the energy to attend.

Pity that every one can not afford a tutor that will come to visit though it is a good idea if school is such a bother.
My questions in my first post for the originator of this thread . . .still stands.

I see how it could have slipped you . . .by the way; how do you know that the "people" that were in attendance at the schools where Slaves??

Maybe it could have just been the school i used to attend prior to tutoring. It felt as though everyone was a slave to the mastery of teachers and such. It actually felt like a dictatorship. There was no say and no room to be free. Haha but I guess thats just life!

thzus u will ahve knowledge, but not the job for it

I used to work with people who had no formal schooling, and they were really jealous that I'd had the chance.
School can be a nightmare, but it's best maybe to see it as the first test of a human being. I had a shit time at school and have nightmares about it still, but I took what I could from the experience and passed my exams. I stayed as interested as I could in all my subjects - it was the only escape I had. Now I'm older it's weird, there's a lot more things I'd like to know about that I actually wish I could go back and learn about for free. School fails when it is treated exclusively as a social club. It's a free resource that many people in other places don't have access to. It's what you make of it, EVERYONE is interested in SOMETHING: a good student can excel in a bad school with bad teachers: I'm proof of that.
Besides the thought of someone sat in a classroom wearing sunglasses is ...well...quite funny to most people. I think it would make things even more difficult for you. Just don't sit by the window.

It was a good question though, we hear a lot about the ones who can barely face the day without sunglasses, the ones who are so sensitive to light it hurts. Glasses with dual lenses won't help much then, as they adjust to give you an average amount of light, fitted for a normal person. A lightsensitive person will still have trouble with it. And I can't imagine students going through every class wearing sunglasses, even physichal education?
So...how do you deal? The lightsensitive ones..?

I have a few words. Exposure leads to immunity.
for example.
most beings get cold very easily in temperatures 50 and below.
The reason that they are so cold is that they are used to surrounding themselves with an artificial environment built to keep them warm during the colder days.
Without it they are not adept to the colder weather. They do not expose themselves to it often, without protection. However, people who expose themselves to it normally,(ex. people who open windows during the winter and sleep near the wndows will wake up the next morning...not feeling so cold.. it takes time though...to get used to... but I have done this often so it feels as if it were around 67 D.F rather than 15 D.F or lower. I force myself to obtain immunities. Alot of people do this.
In terms of sunlight, in a vampires case....heh...the body is something that can be improoved. In my opinion no being is unable to become adept. Why hide from a problem or become dependant on an object, rather than facing the problem in the flesh.
On another note.
Perscription sunglasses. You can get away with those in some schools .
And i'm sure that the health department can do something about your eye sensitivity.
but wait....public schools have information from everyone's health records...
lets see....
Michael Vincent Mitchelli: Status: umm...Vampire
Illergic to: ultra violet rays; Augmentin
District: South Brunswick High
Docter....etc..
....That's likely.

How do you go through your physical? Your body temperature being below normal. =/

Maybe you could just say your iris' contract way too much in the sunlight and it makes it difficult to see.... Hmmmm I think most schools would make an exception

Not without a letter from your Doctor stating the same; schools these days are getting overtly "concerned" with their students and their normal mannerisms or lack thereof.

i agree with Awake In Death. the only way to ever completely overcome this obsticle is to make yourself adapt. it is painfull for awhile but i think you will see that it is worth it.

For P.E. i had to convince my doctor to give me a doctors note.... i complained about a sore knee while running. He gave me a doctors note for school and told me i had some syndrome that had to do with the muscle next to the knee. Im not exempt from PE but i didnt have to go outside after that.
I may try and see what happens when winter hits where i am theres always a heavy cloud cover and iv seemed to be ok with outdoors before in the winter

I agree with Awake In Death. About 2 years ago i use to have migranes almost everyday at school, but as i went on through school about a year past and the migranes became headaches. Now i am use to them, even though i still have them i hardly relieze they are there.

I go to a special school for pot heads and bad kids, so I cant get in trouble for wearing shades, cuz everyone else is too! lol. I wear a baseball cap too, just for the added shade. And I hate normal people, they pick on me at school, cuz they know I'm a vamp, and it bugs them...

The wonders of bean sprouts. :) No, seriously. A handful of them a day, raw, and my eyes are much better at being able to tolerate the high UV during the day, and the flourescent lights indoors.
For the one who suggested "exposure breeds immunity", I tried that, no luck. I'm currently using welding glasses as most people would use regular sunglasses.
It's such a persistent issue for me, I wrote an
article on dealing with photosensitivity.
