Vampires and Humans have indulged with each other; it is becoming common place actually. (speaking of modern day vamps more than the classical vamps) I see nothing wrong with it. In some cases there is a child that is produced though to my knowledge it is rare.

The children can either be human of Dhaphirs (Half human, half vampires) think Blade, daywalkers that sort of thing.

If we are talking about classical vampires (non human) rather than HLVs (which are human), I would imagine having sex with your food would be rather repulsing. When you think of it, it would be more like a human having sex with a monkey, a cow or a sheep.

To an immortal, centuries-old vampire, with all the experience and knowledge he/she has gained in that time, I imagine we would be rather dull company with our short lifespans and egosentric worldview. More like playthings, pets, than equals.

They have no biological need for sex to procreate, so I'd assume most of those instincts will fade out.

back to the "horniness" of vamps..........

well, sex is the most primal of our instincts, some scientists even say that we have a guidebook so sex imprinted within our minds the moment we are born............

so believe, if the vamps are not the Ricean type of course, that sex would still pose as a very enticing activity for the oldest of vamps, i mean, sex is the basis of everything, it is a noble purpose, to procreate, thus, horniness of vamps, it think, would not be affected.........

But vampires no longer procreates that way. They would have no need for producing hormones, and with the hormones I'd guess most of the sexdrive would go away. All that's left is a lot of sweating and rubbing. Sure, it feels good, but so does a lot of other things too.

Of course the idea of having sex with a vampire is enticing, as it is the closest, most intimate act we can imagine, or at least the one focused on the most. But I think we are putting too much emphasis on a to a vampire useless act. And I think...the emphasis is more culture-based than anything else. 200 years ago it wasn't the sex they focused on, it was the Romance. Courting was the most intimate act they could publicly imagine, and being wooed by a vampire was the height of romantic daydream. But in this jaded day and age romance has lost all appeal, unless it also leads to steamy sex.

But we're mortals. Just because we've changed, doesn'tr mean an immortal vampire has. He might still be more interested in holding hands and courting for a few decades, because he can, and he has the time to take it slow. In the life of a several thousand year old being any relationship with a mortal will be like a one night stand. Age will no longer bear any meaning, an 80 year old will be as sexy as a 20 year old, because they'll both be children compared to the vampire. So a relationship with a vampire might easily imply a 50 year courting period with hand-holding and poetry-reciting, with no sex until your 70th birthday.

I kinda prefer mortal men. :P

i agree that an immortal vamp may still stick to its roots, courtship may be the most important thing...... but i feel it depends on the vamp.

and your point that a human lifetime would mean practically nothing, i think that also depends, maybe the vamp would learn to live in the lifetime of a human, i mean, take the years lifetime by lifetime, instead of considering the next 1000 years of existence as a whole chunk of life....

That's because you've got the viewpoint of a 15 year old. Right now, of course, you'll find 15-20 year old boys the most attractive. At 50, that will have completely changed. Those once-attractive males will now be nothing but immature children, with no sexual appeal whatsoever. You'll (hopefully) have learned that being sexy is more than just looks. You'll find yourself attracted to men in their 50's, 60's. And at 1000...an 80 year old man, despite his looks, will be a mere child. He'll be young compared to you.

I don't consider being horny the same as the need to procreate. It is common knowledge for people who have nothing to do other than spend 24/7 on the internet that only humans and dolphins have sex for pleasure. I think it's a thirst for something. In this case it's a literal thirst for blood. I have no idea about the anatomy of classical vampires whether they have well "parts" that could produce pleasure or orgasm. But maybe it's not the pleasure, maybe it's another reason for the act of sex. I have a blood fetish which has nothing much to do with classical vampirism (pretty much nothing to do with psi vamps) other than a want for blood but in my case it is directly associated to sex.

I think vampires could have sex with humans, but why would they want to the taking of blood is orgasmic in it's self and they are undead so they don't have the same needs and wants as the living but I believe it could happen
