Eternal Damnation

Hello. My name's Shawn. I am a new member here and feel quite... at home I should say. I am fascinated with the topics that are spoken here... But that is not the point.
I would like to know, if possible, how can a person tell if they are a Psi-Vamp...ect? I have some experiences that are fairly... Odd. I'm not sure what to say exactly, so if anyone has any questions that they can ask me to somewhat guide me along a path to my answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well hello Shawn, and Welcome to Darkness Forums.
First and foremost I am glad that you feel at home here if you ever need anything feel free to ask.
Would you like to tell us more about the experiences? That would help both us that want to help you and you can analyze right along with us.
Unfortunately there is now set requirements or experiences of a psi, they differ from being to being.
Some things are universal however. Do you get affected by people's emotions? (Empathy) Do you crave energy and don't know where the craving comes from??
Just give us more information and we'll take it from there.
Welcome again.

Thank you for your kindness.
I suppose I'll start with some experiences...
Well, unlike most people here, I do not crave blood, nor do I hate the sun, I'm not fond of it, but I am not afraid of it. I do prefer the night, and am usually quite energetic when it's dark, I feel more... I don't know, I can't desribe it. I do have this one problem that I've had since I was a kid. Like any other human being I hunger for food ect... But when I am alone, I get sort of hungry, it's a weird feeling, lasts for a bout 2 seconds, then it subsides. Then, when I am around someone, I am fine. I have a deep interest in Vampires, I don't know if it has to do with anything or not, but oh well. I heal quite quickly. Wounds, breaks...ect heal in a short amount of time. I am a very sentimental person and when someone is sad, happy..ect, I generally feel what they feel... Well, that's about all that came to mind... Hope it helps, thanks again.
Oh and there's something else. I'm somewhat inclined to supernatural surroundings... Can feel if something's around me, I've had one extreme preminition in my life... And my mother, she's a witch. I don't know if that helps with anything...

I'd say that you are definetally an empath
and you might be a psi vamp as well,
but it seems like you cannot (or don't know how) control psi?

What is an Empath?
And no... I have no knowledge of psi, nor do I know how to control it/feed from it...

To take on emparthy, as that is my field of expertise rather than psivampirism, empathy is the ability to sense, and in some cases adapt, other peoples emotions.
That's the quick explanation, for a more thourough one, go to this site:
http://healing.about.com/cs/empathic/a/uc_empathtraits.htmI will post parts of the article here for you.
QUOTE
Empathy is the ability to read and understand people and be in-tune with or resonate with others, voluntarily or involuntarily of one's empath capacity.
Empaths have the ability to scan another's psyche for thoughts and feelings or for past, present, and future life occurrences. Many empaths are unaware of how this actually works, and have long accepted that they were ėsensitiveî to others.
Empathy is a feeling of another's true emotions to a point where an empath can relate to that person by sensing true feelings that run deeper than those portrayed on the surface. People commonly put on a ėshowî of expression. This is a learned trait of hiding authentic expression in an increasingly demanding society.
An empath can sense the truth behind the cover and will act compassionately to help that person express him/herself, thus making them feel at ease and not so desperately alone.

Thank you both for the info. I'm still confused about this Epathy and Psi-Vamp thing... I am however quite interested in this energy subject... I'm going to keep reading... Thank you very much for the enlightenment.

well basically
an empath is a person that feels what other feel
and a psi vamp is a person that drains other ppl's psi for its own energy needs
hope that helps clear it up just a little

Umm yes I have a question... I went on that site you showed me, I read that.. I guess e-book, and I was doing one of the excersizes and when I was trying to concentrate on the psi ball, my stomach felt a little weird, it kinda hurt... Well, I proceeded to try and do the psi ball... I started to do it, my arms felt a little tingly, in some areas it felt like a little needle was poking me... Then my face kinda started to twitch bad, so I got scared and stopped... And I doing something wrong?

nope, nothing wrong there,
just htat ur making it toos trong and too big,
try to contain it in a small area, don't feed it too much,
those are actually quite the same problems I had when I started learning,
now I've gotten to the pint where I just put my hand in the right position and the psi-ball is there :D
oh, you should learn to rpogram those things and make containers (or whatever they're called)
keep on learning
when you can make a psi-ball whenever and whereever you want you can try psi-vamping, it's similar to making a psi-ball just that you tell psi to go into your body and feed it (ur head will probably hurt when doing this as the brain is sensitive to exesive energy fluctuations)

When starting out with this type of work, it's best to do several small sessions with breaks in between and gradually work up to longer times. For example, I would suggest three daily five-minute sessions with at least a ten-minute break in between; I find it useful to follow the 'ten-percent rule' with psychic exercise as well as physical exercise. Once you're up to ten-minute sessions, you can start doing one ten-minute session a day and then gradually add to your time.
Does that make sense?

it actually does make sense,
and it actually is quite a smart thing to do
don't be like me who did several hours of exercise each day nonstop and didn't know how to meditate, don't try that at home kids :D

Well, the other day I was in my room meditating and trying to concentrate on the Psi Ball... And I ended up passing out... I guess I wasted too much energy and blacked out... I don't really know how to contrl the psi ball... Whenever I make the ball, my hands begin to push apart. I'm guessing it's the psi-ball that's getting bigger and pushing my hands away... I don't really know how to control... Any tips?

ok first of all,
MEDITATE, you should always meditate or do anything else that fills u up with energy
second,
the psi ball IS in ur control, u just don't know it, if you want the psi ball to stop taking energy you just WILL it to stop, and thats it,
one with a weak mind should never do stuff like this

Thank you very much for bad mouthing a beginner.
I am obviously not as knowledgable in this subject as you are, nor do you need to tell me I am weak minded. Thus, people practice... Which is what I have been doing. And yes, I did meditate, which I did say in my last post.
Anyways, I did try it again, which I have been doing for the past few days. I was able to concentrate on it more than last time, so nothing bad happened.

Eternal Damnation, I don't think that he meant it quite the way that you are taking it. Please excuse him; his english is bad.
What he was trying to say was focus on your meditation and build your strength up before hand; it takes mental strength more than anything else to do this and seeing that the last time you blacked out you may want to meditate and relax more.
Contolling the psi ball will be heard at first but in time you will learn as you become familiar with it how to feed it and how to control its growth and things of that nature.

Sorry, was a little agrivated by the comment.
Anyhow, I don't really know a certain way to meditate. No one has ever taught nor have I read anything about it. I sit in a calm place and become as comfortable as possible and just close off everything around me and try to be at peace... Don't know any other ways :S

thanks Azriela
as for meditation,
there are different methods but you should really find out what works for you..
what I do is sit calmly and first concetrating on my breathing, then I picture myself in a nice calm place being totally realxed, if any unwanted thoughts pop up I yeal at them to go away
then when I'm in total control I concentrate on what I need, like if I need alot of energy I concentrate on that, fi I want to hold my breath for a logn time I concentrate on lowering my pulse (just examples)
so in general,
relax, get control, concentrate

Your welcome Escoban.
I know that it can get frustrating sometimes Eternal but we really are trying to help. Now about your meditation technique; the ones that Escoban gave are nice, the trick about meditaition however is about finding which one works best for you.
Meditation and TechniquesThe site above has information on meditation and has 108 listed meditation techniques with definitions and all the good stuff. Remember; just choose which one best suits you.

I would also suggest grounding out. as in to ground your spiritual energy into something, like a rock, the earth, a crystal to start. then mediate. at this point after grounding you should already be calm and have a smooth energy flow. not a strong one nor a week one. but more like a calm stream passing through you. try starting from there.

That is great advice; and is very important when you are doing something like psi balls/energy balls.
Thank You for the reminder Night Eagle.
