I Touch Roses
Now the point in turning is to live forever and take life away. But why try to take what you already have? The rush? No because to live long is to experience things already expreienced and not treasuring what you could feel in a mortal lifetime. Now seriously, have you ever heard of a truely happy Vampire? The best rush, to live life.
I Touch Roses
I mean no criticism to a person who thinks he is a vampire, but I only try to understand the meaning. Vampires are beautiful creatures of the night and I am curious. :meow:
Azriela
understand that some people are turned through no request of theirs; some are turned by force, some are turned by their will. I think why they are represented as being unhappy is because of the fact that after a while of living their hearts become hardened and though little things bring them joy it is outweighed by the horrors they have seen and the pain that they have experienced.

after carrying on a vampric lifestyle you will notice things that most people won't; thinkgs that will sadden you and make you want to turn from humanity. Vampyrs aren't unhappy just over experienced.
The Morbid Darkness
it really doesnt matter how long you have lived...........

just how much you have experienced..... if a human experiences all the horrors of life, war, disease, death, suffering, pain, he too would be beaten, just like a 500 year old Vampire would be............

its just that most of us never get to experience the most horrible parts of life, but a Vampire, being immortal and thus having a longer time to live woudl surely experience this...........

not to mention the fact that they seem to be attracted to dark stuff......
negruinimă
The rush comes, i suppose, from being mortal and knowing that you can be hurt so vampires loose that feeling because they could just jump off a bridge or break their neck and survive.
Immortal Corrupter
even though vampires can live forever and just because they do, doesnt mean all of then are unhappy...yes they might have a long while to live, but if you think of it...vampires have eternitys to do things that "mortals" may never even dream of doing...but I mean who knows skullblink.gif
kanndkat
Becoming a vampire would mean that you could do most of the things you wanted to do in life but either too afraid or didn't see the point. They would probably have a different perspective to humans anyhow so who knows what they think. And are physical vampires (if they exist) actually immortal? I mean, there are ways of killing them. Supposedly sunlight for example. They could always stay out until the sun rises and die. That would be good if they got bored or too depressed, if they feel that is. :meow:
Ravager
Being a vampire, an old topic but funny!!!
The Morbid Darkness
funny?? Ravager....... what is so funny? *very confused look*

Being immortal is funny to you?
Deadly Sacrifice
no, the fact hat this is by no means ana origional topic and there are about 10 other ones running in this thread on the same thing.

now, just like humans, which these beings were at some point, they will feel sorrow and happines, but it depends on the being. it is a vbariable that no amount of pondering will figure out. we can assume with our minds, but a vampire mind is stronger and only gets stronger with age. there are those that were prey as a human and that my friends is a mindset you never lose, if you were prey as a humn being changed rarely will change that. however, a predator mindset, that is what some people have, and that is what a vampire needs to survive, they need to be able to not fear humans but respect that while they are mortal do have the power to kill them. A level of understanding has to be achieved, some respect for humans while not becoming soft and weak. If a vampire is unhappy and a coward, they always have the choice to walk into the fire, but it is the same as a human being too afraid to face life and having to give in to it and slit their wrists. (I'm allowed to say how stupid attmepting suicide is, I've done it several times all by different means) there are always things to live for, it is just whether the creature is too weak to look for them, there will always be a fascination int eh back of the mind that can be taught that will realise that unhappiness, giving us something more. War is something humans will always do.;.. it is something they seem to love doing... all throughout the rise of mankind they have fought... though the beauty and skill of a blade was forgotten, compared to those tactics of battle, our ones now are cowardly. I am not saying skill of a gun does not take work, I simply mean you miss the discipline and art it took to weild a sword. you should have the being's blood you shed on youir hands and you should at least see their face when you kill them... I believe guns are good for pleasure shooting, but I do not like them for war... I miss the days when those in war would send out onyl a few combatants 1-5 or so, and the victor was the winner of the war. no several year battle, no thousands dead... there was logic in the old days, logic people no longer pocess and people had pride then, when all they have is ignorance now

Being immortal is funny to you?

Yes, at the beginning, I'd know more people, I'd travel, learn and do a lot of things, but if I were inmortal I'd like to be young forever...
Deadly Sacrifice
yeah, if you get old pysically, better have afire lit for me, its the same thing if when I get old as a human... light a bonfire or soething because when I ca't do everythig I want to or am incapable of doing things for myself in the slightest
Ravager
That's what I was talking about, being inmortal but young foreve, young forever, that'd be interesting...
Deadly Sacrifice
unless you were changed when you are younger then legal age... damn that would suck... if I'm going to be changed I better be able to go wherever the fuck IO want without getting looked at because I'm too young... bars and clubs would be a good place to pick up victims
Fear_Nocturnus
bars and clubs are highly over rated. Conventions are much better, and what better cover than a cleaning person in a hotel or resort? you just change jobs and IDS every few years, besides would you rather have a drunk doctor and a nice cushy room or a drunk 22 year old high school drop out and an alleyway?
Azriela
good point Fear. But i'd go for the useless waste of society first; you cannever run out of those.

Well actually I think you would grow until 20 or something and then you'd stay like that forever...
Deadly Sacrifice
yes, i know bars and clubs are overrated, but they would still be good hunting ground... It is easier to move unnoticed though if you are over 20 at least though
ReVamp3d
I think that it isn't so much ironic as it is simply pointless, not to mention not very possible (unless you are talking about mythical vampires)...meh
Deadly Sacrifice
I'd still think it would be amusing to try and find a way to change...
Azriela
:smiles:

Yes it would be interesting, wouldn't it?
Deadly Sacrifice
A nice way to spend excess time... reading every possible book in search for clues, searching out 'vampire' clubs, a goos way to waste any bit of free time one might have...

Deadly Sacrifice
...could still be interesting though...
m.s. entropy
alright, here's my 2 cents. i don't think anyone's really immortal, but then, anything's possible, right? but i believe the faster you burn, the more light you give. and a pleasure forever becomes but a different form of torture.

cheers,
m.s.
Wednesday Addams
then there's always that saying - "too much of a good thing..."
m.s. entropy
my point precisely.

you make a good food's dinner. it's great. next day you make the same kind of food. then again. in a week, you're starting to hate it.

cheers,
m.s.
Deadly Sacrifice
yeah dammit, can't believe we're having blood again, can't we bleed a kid this time?! I'm getting sick of hookers.

sorry... dun mind me I'm in a bit of an eccentric mood>> so just kinda smile and nod...

after a few hundred years, yes i suppose if there was such a thing as immortality, it would grow to be dull, because after all, how much is there to learn, and the world is never changing around us, not at all... I suppose for those who cannot take the time to look around, yes it can become rather a dull and uninteresting life... exactly, too much of a good thing, life without the will to use it. Yes, one might get sick of watching humans kill eachother and destroy the earth, but there are so many things that could be learned, if only one cared enough to learn these things.
Ravager
Yes, and if you get bored or depressed, you can grab a giant rock and throw yourself in a well, a deep one of course and then sleep for many years...
The Morbid Darkness
that would be boring,

and what worth would living be when we are not happy? being a vampire would make me very happy............. that's the point
Ravager
I thought this was buried...

Well, I said it before, It would be very funny to be a real vampire but haven't you thought...

Wouldn't you get bored one day?
The Morbid Darkness
bored, definitely, but even now, i am considered endlessly resourceful.... i would find stuff to un-bore me.......

or maybe i'll just search for you, Ravager, and make a game out of it..... *laughs to prove that she is joking*
Ravager
I get bored stayin' in my house one or two hours, I don't need inmortality...

Don't, Don't!!!
The Morbid Darkness
alright........ dont need to get all worked up about it! *laughs*

bu yeah..... with mortals like you about. i would never get bored....... terrorising you would be so much fun!
Ravager
But I'm not inmortal

yet...
The Morbid Darkness
yeah, lets hope that changes................

being immortal is so fun....... *laughs a high-pitched laugh*
Ravager
Soon my friend, soon...
The Morbid Darkness
soon..........*smiles*
Draquilas

The beggining...

Vampires aren't happy, how could a broken life become a field with flowers?

Impossible...

No one is happy, vampire or not...
The Morbid Darkness
you can't say that Ravager........ i am the happiest i am now that i have ever been in my life..........

and how do you know vampires aren't happy? ever talked to one? not trying to sound mean here...........
Ravager
Well easy...

Not all, some vampires aren't happy...

Why?

Because not all humans are happy and if humans aren't, vampires aren't...
The Morbid Darkness
well, that makes sense..........

but do you think that being a vampire would exaggerate the senses and emotions? just wondering........
