And she like, has nightmares and sleep walks because of them. And then she winds up seeing this movie against her father's demands, because he's afraid she's like psycho. XD. But anyway, the movie she sees is about this demon thing that can grant you wishes. But odd wishes. Like, if you wished for the biggest house in town, he'd burn down all the other houses.
Yours being the only house left, would be the biggest. ;).

After she views this film, all her wishes start coming true... in perverted ways.

It's very Scream-traditional. What with the teasing of it's own genre, and the references of watching a movie within a movie. Parts of it are actually pretty scary though, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something cool to watch on a Friday night.

Wasn't there another movie too, with the same type of demon? A djinn...I know I've seen it. If you wished for everlasting beaty, he'd turn you into a mannequin doll...things like that. I just can't remember what is was called.

But the Wisher...I've seen the cover, and thought about renting it. Maybe I will. :)

You're thinking of Wishmaster, an extremely similar movie that recently spawned 2 sequels.

Ew. The terror of sequels.

Depends. Wishmaster 2 wasn't so bad.
The ones after that really did suck though.
It's a shame, the concept rocked.
