I watched it this morning in bed, found the start to be impressive but as with many teen horror's I wasnt conviced by the ending....any thoughts on this film? I cant decide i fI liked it or not hmmm

It was a canadian movie and so it was much goryer then what is allowed in the states (I AM CANADIAN) and so the first one was very good in my opinion.... the story was well done & characters played perfect as Emily Perkins,(the ever HOT!)Katharine Isabelle & Kris Lemche were perfectly set for there roles. The balance between action, drama and gore was good. As for the ending it is supposed to lead into the second movie.

Ginger Snaps 2 or Ginger Snaps: Unleashed was not as good as the first in my opinion, another canadian made film and it was very well done but it wasnt as good as the first, thats to be expected though as most sequels are not. As it is supposed to take place after the first Brigitte's on the run from Bailey Downs, and she tries to prevent what happened to her sister, Ginger, from happening to her by shooting up with monkshood. Eventually she collapses and the police that find assume the monkshood is an illegal drug, and she is sent to rehab. She is deprived of the only thing that will stop her from turning into a beast and killing everyone and everything in her way. so as not to spoil anything big and the ending i wont say anymore but over all it was a good movie to watch.... and i suggest this one as well.....

Ginger Snaps 3 or Ginger Snaps: The Beginning has not come out yet but what is known is this: Set in 19th Century Canada, Brigette and her sister Ginger take refuge in a Traders' Fort which later becomes under siege by some savage werewolves. And an enigmatic Indian hunter decides to help the girls, but one of the girls has been bitten by a werewolf. Brigitte and Ginger may have no one to turn to but themselves.

since its not out i cant make an opinion of this one but it i think it shall be interesting to see and the trailer on GS2 that they show for this one makes it look good.... but we will have to wait and see...

I agree with all you comments...they are played well! and YAS Katharine Isabelle is a sexy bitch in at points! :D from that I take it I should give the second film a miss ;o)

To collapsedperception: No not at all you should watch the second movie.... as i said it was good... not as good but goot and could have been better but still watch it... ans as for Katharine Isabelle if you were to ever want to see her (semi) nude just watch Freddy V.s. Jason she is in it and as a sex and shower scene all i have to say is DAMN!!!!

I watched the first one. It was good. The werewolves I think were badly done... Other then that, it was a good moice. :). 3 thumbs up. :).

I think mine is a toss up between the original and the Ginger snaps back.

Nickelodeon movies are awful...

Nick doesn't make very good matrial anymore...the few that they do...always seem to get canceled*cough*Invader Zim*cough*

It's not so much that they don't make very good material, it's that their target audience has changed, they try to appeal more to the preteen/early teen girls now than anything else, and as such most of the shows that they air that don't fit into that section tend to get cancelled.

All great shows that the network had going, and they cancelled and ended them. It truly disappointed me and still does disappoint me that the only good show left is Fairly Odd Parents, which I am constantly hearing rumors of it's cancellation as well.

Anyway, on to the subject, I haven't seen any of the movies, wasn't even aware that there were any, but I dislike the show, so I'd probably dislike the movies.

Yeah, look into them. The third is a prequel. All are very good and put together nicely.

I saw all 3 movies ,I bought 1 and 2 i liked them alot :)

Their beautiful girls and the begaining of the first movie was real cool.
The second one it was naughty in some strange way.
The third one was pretty cool
Always did like the era the movie was in

I still can't believe nobody has heard of these films. Well, except you two.

The first movie was good, I liked it. The wearwolf was a disappointment (partly because of the low budget), but the rest was good. The 2nd I found a bit more disturbing, the wearwolf was deffinitely better, but Ginger was hardly in it so I didn't like it as much. I haven't seen the 3rd but it sounds awesome, I'll definitely look into it.

Hells yes, another peep with good tastes. And, despite the low budget, its still my fav. looking wolf. Dunno why.

Just wondering what you all thought of Ginger Snaps... Ive seen all three and I love them, reminds me of me and my sister, if we were social outcasts who had our period late and got it while walking, then got bit by a werewolf.... jk

I really do like these movies though, there really good...

I've seen Ginger Snaps and Ginger Snaps Back. I didn't think the second one was all that great but I really liked the first one.

I saw the first one. I didn't see the others. I like the first one though, it was interesting. I haven't see it in a while though.

I've heard and seen the DVD of the first two in the movie rental place here and it looked interesting. I'm a bit confused as to what its actually about. All I can gather from it is that its a werewolf kind of movie? If it isn't, care to correct me?

3rd one rocks.

I liked all of them.

I thought they were well done and brought some creativity to the table. Each one for me was a unique piece that could pretty much stand alone. Although the first and the third are my favorites.

I do suggest if you like wearwolve movies that you see all three. imho you'll get something from each of them.

Alright: What I really don't like about Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed is that one character, "Ghost." She adds an interesting level to the plot, I admit...But she adds a little too much. I think the whole movie would have been better without her in it.

And, the ending left much to be desired. In fact, taking the ending into account, it almost seems like the movie was about her.

I havn't seen them and was going to ask who has till I found this. I'm assuming I should watch only the first and third. Or do I need to see the second in order to know what's going on in the last?
