Well as far as I know, there are three theories of it:

*Dracula's one
*Anne Rice's one
*Cain's one

Can you tell me any other? Can you explain me deeply dracula's one?, cuz i really dont know much... Can you tell me wether or not is anne rice's one and/or Cain's one are taken as a theory or just another vampire novel story or game theory? :help:
NightVision
Could you trim your sig picture down a bit please?

Assuming vampires exist, which I don't think they do, but anyway, I reckon it could be traceable to The Tree Of Life from the Old Testament Garden of Eden.

Let's get into the three you mentioned for clarity because your question is a little unclear.

Dracula's creation:in the Novel deliberately kept mysterious. All we know is he is an unquiet soul, that's about it
Anne Rice: Not a big fan of Anne Rice, was it, they've always existed and are decended from the Egyptian Gods or something? I can't remeber.
Cain - ah I associate this with VtM. Although i have recently been informed the idea was around for much longer.

Here's the theory I really believe though:
The concept of Vampires was man's way of understanding the mysterious aspects of death. The strange things that corpses do when they've been lying about for a while; why some illnesses spread; mental illness; things that in early times people just didn't understand gave rise to it. It was a handy explanation for such things.

read the mythologies of each country in the world. you'll find at least a few vamp myths amongst the other myths.
Claudia Black
That is true. Every country has a vampire story or a story of vampirism. I can say that there are many cases of vampirism. It's possible that that is where vampires started. Elizabeth Bakory was born 1514 vampirism could have started even earlier that that. What i'm getting at is cases of vampirism obviously lead to people coming up with vampires themselves.

I have posted this in my old thread once got alot oof responce hope u like

1. Now many people think that Vampires made a pact to the BIG RED to be what they are. But the devil may have or not have given the gift of vampirism. Now I don’t mean to be disrespectful but I am just talking in a medical terms for now. Now imagine vampirism as a genes that could have been from Adam and Eve since they were supposed to be immortal the genes just may have been dormant in the vast majority and awaken in a select few.
2. Vampires don’t use fangs to suck blood but actual have harden bones, and nails. They can use their nails to puncture the humane skin and then suck their blood.
3. Vampires maybe cousins to the albinos meaning that their glowing eyes, pale skin, and fear of the sun.
4. Vampires can be psychic since being able to live so long you are able to hone in on lateen psychic powers.
5. The reason for blood sucking is they do not have the ability to make there own red blood cells.
6. The reason you don’t see vampires around maybe because they can bestow immortality on anyone they so wish. But the problem with that is say if there were vamps around W.W.II and they were known everywhere. Now imagine an immortal Hitler. Also Vampires might feel bored with a mortal as an adult can find no intellectual conversation with a child.
7. Why there might not be more mysterious deaths in the news could be that there might be a council of Vampires from every aspect of the world that have formed something like the UN (United Nation) that they have their own police and government.
8. Reason Vamps may or may not believe in God is that through their existence in this world the have seen empires rise and fall, they have beard witness to genocide they have seen brothers and sisters lost to rape, murder. They know that humans are a sort of fungus taking over this world. But there could be a vamp who still sees the potential in man to do great good to be able to turn the world into a present day Garden of Eden.

I agree with some things... but not all of 'em. Expecially the part of no fangs =.=. But well, is your theory, thanks for it.
Claudia Black
Hamato, i think you have something. Your theroy does make sense and i can agree with it. The Adam and Eve part makes the most sense. I like your theroy ir kinda firs in wirh vampirism being a medical condtion.
ieuan
well i dont balive the part with no fangs because everyone nows that vamps use there fangs to open the sking to drink the blood
Hamato
The reason I dont think they have fangs is they would kinda stick out and what if they bite themselfs alot. ( also I am modifying my theories I'll post it much later though)

I think there are so many schools of thought about vampires and where they came from and what they can and cannot do, and whether or not they can or cannot be killed any certain way, that it's fun to speculate about them. They are certainly mysterious creatures, and that is why so many people are interested in them. Do they exist? That would depend on whether we are talking about the mortal kind that live a vampire lifestyle or the immortal kind aka Lestat in the Anne Rice books. My opinion is that vampirism would magnify your personality. So if you are a charming gregarious person, like Lestat, becoming undead is only going to make your personality that much more flamboyant than usual. Same as if you are a mean, cold psychotic person. You would be one hell of a dangerous vampire. The threshold of death takes away the need to pretend to stick to society's rules of behavior. Anyone else agree?

actually alot of vampire myths never mention fangs, and instead say that they have a razor sharp, forked tongue.
Infernal Hearts
it is not a theory of when vampires are created, but it is another theory of how they feed.

My theory is that some people that go missing, that you never find the body, are victims of real vampires. What they do, is they feed on them one day, then let them recover. And the cycle keeps on going until they kill them. After they are dead, they put the body in a crematorium, and burn it, over and over again, not even leaving ashes.. thats what I think. rip.gif

My theory is much more complex. Lets see who can follow. Note: I am not religious. Here's my best theory.

God created the universe. His angels. The earth. Mankind. When the angels fell, they procreated with man and produced offspring called the Nephilim. Giants, or so it was said. Giants that supposedly drank the blood of humans according to the Book of Enoch. Goliath was one. Enoch was a forefather of Noah and a father to Methuselah. God brough about the flood to whipe out the nephilim and all offspring of angelic and human decent.
But what IF....the fallen ones saved some of their own? What if these blood drinking childer continued on....being part immortal and thus within the evolutionary chain Just what if? I mean....think of the possibilities and the supposed similiar abilities?

I like that theory. Heh- raises questions about how they did so. (The anti-ark!)

yeah, and then the Nephilim expanded and evolved into the variations in post-flood legend.

ANYWAY my thoughts that Cain is the first vampire- I don't like that idea. At that point the population was so small, a vampire couldn't be supported very well in my opinion.

There were loads of animals..?
Hamato
do vamps lack a protien that they need to resort to this??
