ok i thought i'd bring up this band, in hopes that someone, anyone will reply on whether or not they've heard any albums by them or even heard their names mentioned. I myself have their comalies album and have visited their site, I'd recommend them to evanescance fans, anyone that enjoys a band with a female lead singer. :meow:
me likes the lacuna coil. the sing is so much fucking better than amy lee. and the music is good too.

Yeah I discovered them whilst cruising about the Century Media site. I grabbed a track, and then bought Comalies. I got Unleashed Memories the other day too.
Good call on the Evanescance. If you like 'em and arent afraid to exlpore anything thats not on the charts, go and check them out.
I recommend the track Tight Rope as a first hear.

Yep, Love em. I have Unleashed Memories Special Edition (The Half Life EP thrown on the end basically), and Comalies. Don't get me started on the Evanescence vs. Lacuna Coil thing, or you're in for another one of those long responses noone can be bothered reading ;)

Yep, I've heard of them, they're one of my favourite bands. I started listening to them about a year ago, and I've got the albums Comalies and In A Reverie (Unleashed Memories is currently on backorder I believe).
I agree with you somewhat that Evanescence fans will like this group, actually I think they should enjoy Lacuna Coil far more. Like Azrael said, they're better in most regards, the only difference being that Evanescence is a far more accessable band for the average person.

ty anomander, yes i had a tricky time finding my comalies album, had to go into a Best Buy :rolleyes: , and since evanescance is out there and mainstream it is very easy to acquire
For pictures, live and some recorded mp3s, and general information, I reccomend you visit Empty Spiral, easily one of the best fansites I've seen for any band.
Other than that, you're likely to find a couple of songs at any given time on the Century Media website. Those of course, are the legal ways ;)

Well actually I support both bands, and my ranting would actually be concerning how much I hate how fans of one band refuse to even listen to the other because of it's status.. I'll cut and paste my ranting from somewhere else:

There's no comparison, really. when it comes to Lacuna Coil and Evanescence, there's not much of a resemblance rather than the voice style. but I've mentioned before (I think, many times, on other threads around here.) Evanescence does have some style like Lacuna Coil, only thing is that they evolved their sound with nu-metal riffs and all that. besides, Lacuna Coil has been around longer than them, they are just picking up fame in this days.
Yay see that livened things up a bit now didnt it, but i have both bands albums but for me i prefer lacuna coil. Id just say it all depends on the person and who they like more. :meow:
Lacuna Coil..... one of my favorite bands. :) Heard of them at first from Zeodus, but then heard a song that caught my attention at Hot Topic one day and decided to buy Comalies. My favorite song on there is Daylight Dancer. :) Love that song!
I like their song, "Swamped", other then that, they kinda suck, they need to do without the girl. I am not looking to much forward to seeing them at Ozzfest.
Thats what makes them Lacuna Coil. Each and everyone of them have a special element that makes them good. :) Swamped is good too. Heaven's a Lie I can't stand anymore, mainly b/c of a certain person who kept playing it too many damn times! I won't say a name though. :P
Lol, what is their best song would you think. You name your favorite song...and I will download it. If you could.....recoment a harder song...with more of the guy singing....unless he doesnt sing much..jsut give me a hard song.

Done worry.....you cant ALWAYS find music you want on them programs.
I was never saying that Evanescence and Lacuna Coil were on the same level as far as how good they are goes, and I'll be the first to jump in and say Lacuna Coil are far superior. My point was that someone who loves Lacuna Coil but despises Evanescence cannot be judging them on the music, because though they are different bands with differing levels of skill, their style IS extremely similar.
I think they are a good band, but I regret the fear of experimentation they have... all of their albums have little and sometimes nothing of evolution compared to the one before them... still, they have a really good sound, and some really good musical structures... and the best of all is the total lack of abuse of those sounds that they know are enjoyed by their fans... as for my favorite songs... Senzafine is just great... as much as Falling Again, Cold Heritage and Entwined...
Alright...I definitly do now like these people, maybe when I see them at Ozzfest in a couple weeks my mind will change...but until now....Ew
