ic-- A girl named Savana woke up in her bed in a large and luxiourious(sp?) apartment. It was a beautiful apartment in the city of New York, near the place where she went to school. It was almost like a penthouse, only a bit smaller than one. It was a rather expensive New York loft apartment, one that all the Hollywood stars had. Savana had worked the entire summer to pay her rent for the upcoming school months. Carefully calculating the cost of her apartment, she had earned enough money to stay there from the end of August to the end of June, when she (hopefully) would get admission to a college to study her greatest passion... the study of the human body, She hoped to pursue medicine one day as a career. But that would come later... Savana had to finish her senior year of high school now. She groaned as she looked at the clock, blaring its irritating siren at five in the morning, and the sun shone beautifully through the window that was directly above her bed and into the apartment, with its walls that were completely painted black (Savana had done the job herself). She rose groggily from her bed, topless and wearing only a black thong when she slept. She was proud of her body, for she had dropped thirty pounds over the summer, changing her weight from 130 to 100 pounds. Savana was now tiny, and not shy anymore.
Savana quickly turned off her alarm, and went to clean up. She took a shower, carefully highlighting her black hair with red streaks. Her hair reached almost to her butt due to the fact that Savana had let it grow out over the summer. Drying off, enjoying the feeling of freshness in the searing heat, she carefully went to her closet to get dressed in a new outfit that she had bought during her shopping spree in Milan, supplied by her rich scientist brother, Mikael. Savana had gone goth, and she wore a beautiful black top that covered a little more skin than a regular bra (but not much more) along with tight black pants. She thought she looked great as she stood in the mirror, and thanked God that the high school she went to didn't have any dress code rules. She carefully smiled, and put on the caps that her orthodontist had given her this past summer, after he had taken off her braces and revealed her radiant movie-star smile. She carefully adjusted the white caps, making sure that they were straight and looked seductive, like a vampire of old myth-- Savana had loved vampires since she was 12. She also pulled on a beautiful wolf-claw necklace around her neck... Savana had always been totally enraptured with the supernatural, and expressed it freely now, for she could confidently wear all sorts of gothic fashions, including tight bodices and corsets. Giving herself the once-over in the mirror, she carefully grabbed her apartment keys and locked the door, wanting her possessions to be safe. She didn't want her parents to label her as irresponsible because something had been stolen-- Savana had already had to plead her parents to let her stay in this apartment alone... she didn't want to lose their trust. She carefully left and went to the bus stop, embarrassed that she was the only senior still taking the bus. But there was no choice for her... after paying for the apartment, there had been no money left for a car, and Savana was too proud and independent to ask her parents for the money. She carefully waited at the bus stop on the first day of school, hoping secretly that one of her friends that already had a car would pick her up and give her a ride.

Raine sped down the street towards the high school, her blond hair blowing in the wind from the open window. She wore a white skirt that fanned out and a beige tank top with a silver necklace.
She smiled inwardly as she saw Savana waiting at her bus stop. She pulled the car over, gazing at Savana's goth clothing and the fake vampire teeth.
Raine's real vampire fangs only extended to their length when she allowed them to. It was interesting how real vampires dressed in earth tones, or whatever appealed to them, while posers like Savana tried to dress in black like a vampire. Raine smiled up at her, inwardly cringing. Savana wasn't a poser, she reprimanded herself. She was truly intrigued by the supernatural, she knew more about vampires and their world than Raine herself did.
"Would you like a ride?"

ic-- Savana turned to Raine, smiling in a peaceful manner. "Sure," she said casually, cleverly hiding her enthusiasm, acting like the stereotypical high and mighty senior. She slipped into Raine's car seamlessly, and then looked over at Raine's face when she knew the benevolent girl wouldn't notice. Who is this girl? Why haven't I seen her before? She looks cool... I hope she's a senior too. Savana smiled, turning the corner of her mouth upward, and starts to say, turning to Raine, "So, are you new to this high school?" Savana liked the way the wind from her open window blew back her hair, making her crimson highlights stand out even more, and she sat in the manner of a powerful goddess, waiting for Raine's answer.

"Yes," Raine murmured. "I'm a senior, I just transfered here from La Sailles, a private school." Raine had tried to attend La Sailles, but she got too bored from the restrictions. She loved playing human every once in a while... It always promised interesting outcomes. She looked about seventeen, though she had become a vampire when she was sixteen, eight hundred years ago. She looked over at Savana. "I'm Raine," she introduced herself, looking over Savana. Savana was truly a beautiful girl, and yet she was still mortal. Raine's eyes were so black, and they had been when she was alive, though being mortal, Raine wasn't so pretty, the unnatrual beauty she possesed came from being a vampire. She smiled resignedly, "I suppose you're into vampires and that sort of mythology?" She was interested to see what humans thought of vampires nowadays.

ic--Savana smiled to herself and thought that she and Raine could become very good friends. "Nice to meet you, Raine. My name's Savana, and yes I've always loved mythology, especially vampires and werewolves." Savana laughed a little and said, "I bet you think I'm the typical goth, who reads Anne Rice and wants to be Lestat's blooddaughter or something. Well ok, I read Anne Rice, but just because I like her style... I don't think vampires are really like that." Savana paused, adjusting her tight black leather pants because they were rubbing against her hipbone and thinking, Wow, she's from La Sailles. Good school... that's what Mikael would say at least. He was always into discipline at school. Turning back to Raine, looking very calm, Savana continued. "I imagine they're infinitely stronger than humans and less susceptible to stuff like the sun. I hope they are, anyway. I guess since I've never known a vampire of any kind I really don't know how to describe them. I guess what makes me so interested in vampires is the thought that they don't have to deal with stuff like school, college and work-- they're free spirits. You know what I mean?"

~Si'laura sat on the steps outside of school. Her dark brown hair hung in her eyes giving her the look of a hunting tiger looking through vines. Her dark brown eyes matched her hair if they weren't darker. She wore a pair of jeans and a green T-shirt. She wore a leather necklace with a howling wolf made of silver. She fingered it slightly while waiting for Raine. She knew Raine's serect as Raine knew her secert. Si'laura was a shapeshifter. Her favorite form was a wolf and that's why she wore it around her neck. She sighed and looked up at the blue sky wishing that it was night or Raine got here soon. Which ever one came first.~

Sidney drove fast she always had but today she drove even faster almost knocking someone over when she parked the car "god damn! it cant you walk on the pavement like a normal person, jesus christ" Sidney screamed getting out of the car and adjusting her dark blue jeans and her small red top that didnt cover much and pulled up her gloves she always wore long gloves. She sighed and run her hand through her light brown hair streaked with red and white, she walked up the steps of school not realy noticeing anyone she was to busy thinking.

"Yes," Raine nodded, parking in a shady spot and pulling her blond hair back in a hairpiece, gazing at her pale-skinned face in the mirror before she got out of the car. "Vampires are free spirits. Blooddaughter? You mean fledgling? Sired by Lestat?" Raine laughed, trying to keep her head straight with the human terms for vampires. She was really starting to like Savana, she seemed so sweet and insightful. "They are stronger than they appear in novels," Raine agreed, lost in thought. "Free spirits is a good way to describe them." She contemplated this and led Savana towards the steps of the school, where she noticed Si'laura waiting for her.

"Si'laura," Raine's face broke into a smile as she helped Si'laura to a standing position, pulling the brown hair out of her friend's face absently. "This is Savana," Raine motioned to Savana. "And Savana, this is my friend Si'laura."

Raine noticed Sidney rushing into the school, seemingly lost in thought. "Sidney," she called gently. What could Sidney be so disheveled over?

Sidney jumped and hissed turning around "dont do that" then she saw it was Raine "oh hiya" she said in a lighter tone of voice and walked up to them she smirked at Raine and raised her eyebrow looking at Savana "hi" she said, she saw the changes in Savana "oh the goth look, how interesting" she said sarcasticly but that was just how she always talked, she looked behind Savana and saw some guys playing with a ball near her car her eyes went wide "they touch my car and i sware to god ill skin them alive" her eyes followed them moveing whilst they played she sighed and looked at Raine "imature kids".

"Hello Sidney," Raine smirked and narrowed her eyes at the immature boys. Her lips curled downwards full of disdain. "Something seems to be on your mind today. Care to share what that is?" Raine nodded at Savana, a gleam in her eye. "Freedom of expression. It's nice to see the different ways people express themself through clothes and styles. A lot of people from Le Sailles would dye their uniforms and found lots of interesting ways to show their style. Here, it's much more open. People are always narrow-minded enough to pass judgement," Raine rolled her eyes and laughed a little, gazing back at the boys as their ball hit a van and the alarm in it sounded off. She laughed bitterly.

~Si'laura smiled at Raine's absent-mindedness. She listened to Sidneys words and faded off slightly. The car alarm bround her back. She turned to Savana. Putting out her hand to her she smiled.~ Any friend of Raine's is friend of mine.

ic--"Nice to meet you, Si'laura. Cool name, by the way." Savana smiled at both Si'laura and Sidney as she saw them in turn, grinning after she saw them both, and acting in a nonchalant manner in response to Sidney's sarcastic remark, only saying a simple and kind, "Nice to meet you too." Man, this is going to be interesting year of school. She ran her hand through her hair, enjoying the feeling of belonging to a group. She laughed with the three girls at the antics of the boys in the parking lot. Savana was grinning widely as she pulled out her class schedule and fixed her top at the same time. "Hey, what class do you guys have first? I have...." Savana's eyes ran down the paper that her schedule was on, until she found the piece of information she needed. "I have AP Biology with Puma first. Any of you have the same class?" Savana looked at the three girls she was with, hoping that they would accompany her to first period.

Raine smiled, glad to have brought Savana into the trio. She glanced at Si'laura, happy to see that she was being so friendly to Savana.

Raine pulled out her own schedule and glanced at it. "I have Calculus with Dupre." She grinned and winked at Savana. "The Science and Math rooms share a hall, at least."

ic-- "Yeah, it's a good thing that they do... I have Dupre fourth period for Calc, and I heard some nasty stuff over the summer about him. I want to make sure it's not true. What about you guys?" Savana asked Si'laura and Sidney. "What do you guys have first period?"

~Si'laura smiled and took out her schedule.~ I have it. I'll show you the way. But after that I have pshycology with Spae. If you wanna be famous you have to take hard classes. ~She linked arms with Raine and Savana.~Come on Sidney. Let's go show everyone the new memeber of our illoustras group.

"I have Psychology with Spae next period too. Spae... She's a piece of work," Raine laughed at her comment. Spae was well-known for being mildly senile. She nods at Savana, proud to have her as a part of their group. "Yes, Dupre isn't the best of teachers. He raped a girl last year, but she never pressed charges. Dupre is cruel..." Raine closed her eyes, smiling inwardly.

Dupre had already made it to her list of people to feed off of, to kill this year.

When Raine had asked her why she was upset she didnt answer she just swore at the guys playing with the ball even though she was looking at them she wasnt watching them she was thinking.
When she had been asked something she replyed "huh?" when she heard them talking about Dupre she smiled and said "i dunno i kind of like the guy he has that whole...evilness about him its quiet refreshing when all you hear all day is, are you ok? what me to get something for you? how are you copeing today? is it going to be a hard day today?" she rolled her eyes but looked rather angry "urgh i hate teachers there so, so...." she couldnt think of the word it wasnt always so hard with teachers it was just today "i might skip last lession i mean i hate...." she took a peice of paper out of her pocket and read it aloud "maths" she sighed looking at her time table "first lession with Dupre, second Psychology with Spae oh cool i did well in that class last year" she got distracted by a girl walking into a locker door that was open she laughed "this day aint gona be so bad after all"

ic-- Savana smiled as Si'laura made her feel welcome and wanted in their new group. She checked her schedule, hoping that she had another class with them during the day sometime. No such luck. Savana grinned at her friends, as she glanced at the clock that was above the first row of lockers. "Oh, shit," Savana swore as she realized that if they didn't go now, they would probably be late for class. "Hey you guys, we should probably get going. Should we meet for lunch at a restaurant or something? Being seniors we should exercise our rights to leave for lunch."

~Si'laura smiled and rolled her eyes toward Raine.~Only if someone will drive us. ~She started tugging them toward the school.~

"That's great," Raine smiled at Sidney. "We have all the same classes, like it was last year with you and Si'laura." Raine winked at Si'laura and her face broke into another grin. "Si'laura, you know I'd be happy to drive you all to a restaurant, just having to decide where to go is my privelege for driving you." Raine laughed jovially as she led her friends towards the Math/Science hall.

"That's Puma's Biology room," she motioned to a door on the right. "I'll see you for lunch,"

Raine left Si'laura and Savana at that room, going down the hall a little ways to the second room on the right, Dupre's Calculus. She rolled her eyes behind the teacher's back as she strode in gracefully with Sidney.

ic-- "Thanks, Raine," Savana said in a friendly manner, waving her arm at Raine and Sydney in a short goodbye. Savana turned to Si'laura, and said, "Well, after you, my friend," gesturing towards the door of the biology room, being a polite friend and letting her newfound friend make the first entrance.

~Si'laura smiled and waved goodbye. She glanced around the room and saw Dupre already writing things down on the board. She groaned and moved to a table in the back of the class with two open seats.~Come let's get there before anyone else.

ic-- Savana smiled and moved to the table when Si'laura sat, taking out a fresh notebook and opening it to the first page, which was clean and new, with numerous blue lines running across the width of the page. She sat carefully and yawned lightly, waiting for class to begin. She smiled, looking at the clock and then back at Si'laura.

~Si'laura got out a notebook and dug around for a pencil. Without opening it, she turned it on to the back and drew a sketch of a wolf waiting for a the class bell to start. Soon after it rang and Dupre went into his evil speech, about being prompt and organized. She groaned and looked at Savana~

ic-- Savana was already slouching over, head on her bored hand, and arm bent in an uninterested manner on her notebook. Her eyes wandered, hoping that Dupre would shut up very soon, and Savana's pen started to work very quickly as she drew a phoenix rising, complete with shaded fire on the back of her notebook. Glancing at Si'laura and then at her drawing, Savana hoped to draw attention Si'laura's attention to her drawing.

~Si'laura glanced over at Savana's drawing.~Nice.~She whispered. She cocked her head to the side and stared at it some more then back at hers. She sketched the pheonix flying over top of her notebook. Directly infront of her wolf~

ic-- Savana smiled at Si'laura's drawing and glanced up at the board to see what the teacher was writing now. She groaned as she found that a book had been placed on her and Si'laura's desk, and there was already homework assigned. Not wanting to get in trouble, she poked Si'laura gently on the shoulder, alerting her to the new material on the book and her desk, and carefully opened her book to the page that the homework was on, and started to do it while the class lecture dragged on.

Sidney followed Raine into the classroom she took a seat near Raine and yawned as the teacher spoke obvously trying to piss the teacher off "you bored of my class Miss Camble" the teacher said standing in front of her "why yes i am...now aint you very clever" her acent changing a little as she always moved so she had no fixed acent the teacher opened her text book and found the page "why dont you try learning something for a change" he said in an angry voice "oh but i do, i listen with such wonder at your words" she said sarcasticaly the teacher backed down and went back to his desk she rolled her eyes and turned to Raine whispering "so what did you do over the past week seems like ages since i last saw you...before today obvously" she frowned and intched her gloves the fabric was itchy today.

"I've been around," Raine murmured. She had some issues to deal with. Her sire had gotten into some trouble with a pack of werewolves, and Raine had to help her out of it. She rolled her eyes at the memory. She had a lot to do this next week as well, some Hunters had found one of Raine's fledglings to be suitable as their next target. Raine doubted if she'd make it to class every day.

"Just stuff I had to take care of for my family," Raine smiled and laughed softly. "Errands to run." She gave the teacher a sidelong glance. Dupre needed a lesson in manners, she thought to herself.

The girl he had raped last year was Raine's fledgling, Ara, and Raine had read it from Ara's mind. Dupre needed a painful death.

The bell rang loudly. "I'll meet you upstairs in Spae's room," Raine called. "I'll just be a minute."

After Sidney and the rest of the class had left, Raine moved towards Dupre and seized control of his mind. "Write a suicide note. Then shoot yourself with the gun in that drawer." Dupre nodded.

"Yes..." He had such a weak mind. Raine laughed as she shot him in the knee first, making sure he hurt. She handed the gun back to him. "Go ahead."

Then she walked upstairs to Spae's class, relishing the sound of the gun.

ooc~ Second Period now.

Sidney frowned and hissed "i liked him, i know your evil and all but he was cool" she said as Raine sat next to her "clinical depression" Sidney turned and answered the teachers question about what they had been studying last, she turned back to Raine "you probebly had a good reason for it but." she turned again and waved a hand at the teacher "no we have covered that before" Sidney turned back to Raine again "but was killing realy a punishment? you could have ruined his life first" she smiled at the thought and took her book out of her bag.

~Si'laura got up as the bell rang. She turned to Savana~Did you get the homework written done cause I have the notes. We can trade later on. But now I have to go to Spae's. ~She groaned~That's going to be the worst class of the day I can tell. ~She picked up the notebook and fingered her wolf charm. She headed out the door when she heard the first shot. She didn't say anything. She watched Raine emerge from Dupre's class as the second shot went off. She shook her head and waited for Savana~

ic-- Savana quickly followed Si'laura out of the classroom, clutching her notebook. She smiled, looking down at the page of the notebook, "I'm almost done with the last problem. Just gimme a sec, and I'll give you my notebook, if you don't mind copying the homework into your book and copying your notes into mine." Savana leaned against the wall outside the classroom, and made a few last marks on the page, quick yet neat. With a few minutes to spare, Savana handed Si'laura her notebook, and realized she had to practically run to class... she had AP Spanish in another part of the building. "See ya at lunch, Si'laura. Good luck with Spae." Savana waved a friendly but brief goodbye at Si'laura, and headed to Spanish, hoping she wouldn't be late.
