Akora smoothed out her mini-skirt and glanced around the train station again. She had just gotten off the train, and was headed to the city side of New York. A few men passed her a few glances, but she swept past everyone, in a hurry to get out of the stifling station...
She made her way through the crowd onto the busy street outside. She looked up and down both sides, not finding a taxi. How is it that a busy street outside of a train station doesn't have a taxi? She sighed and crossed the street expertly, walking along the alleys and backroads, passing by restaurants and little shops along the way.
As a vampire, she didn't need food, only the blood of a mortal night by night... Perhaps tonight would promise such a meal...

*Katrina Swiftly walks past the mortals, in the busy street. She slips down an alley, and walks in the silence of her footsteps. Her black hair flying behind her, along with her cloak. She walked out onto another street, and began to walk down it. Her pants cling to her body, her shirt pressed tightly against her chest. A few guys turned thier heads, and whistled, but she payed no attention to them. She was looking for a meal..but not a thug.*

Walking along the back streets Paige wanted to escape the world she knew if her father found her in such a place he would hate it and forbid it but she didnt care, she smiled as the night seemed to get darker her long dark red hair looking odd aginst her black jacket and pants but she didnt care she never seemed to care much about anything that was why she walked the back streets no people around to bother her.

Akora saw the two women from a distance. A mortal, and a vampire. She studied them both carefully and then willed herself in front of the vampire. "Is this your territory?"

Not hearing what the woman had said because she was unaware that there were people in the distance she began humming a popular tune but then changed her mind and hummed a haunting tune that her familie had always hummed, she draged her hand along the walls as she walked feeling the texture of the bricks this place was like a maze all the back streets.

Ara walked down the street..maybe i took a wrong turn?... She walked with her eyes closed, not that she could see with her eyes open in the first place. She found her way around mostly by counting her steps and listening. She turned a corner and heard voices-who were they? maybe they could help her find the palce she was looking for..

"So, this is your territory?" Akora nodded and lit a cigarette of her own. "I'm Akora. A vampire then...? If this is your territory..."
Akora turned as she heard the familiar tune. She saw a girl in the distance. Paige. She knew her well, although they had never met. Akora knew Paige's father- a killer of vampires.
"A lost mortal," Akora commented, seeing the blind woman lost and alone...

"I'm sorry," Akora told the blind woman. "I just arrived here. I don't know anything about this place... Do you really think you should be traveling alone?" Akora was a little worried. What was a blind woman doing alone in a city like this? She wasn't cold-hearted enough to feed on the handicapped, so she simply studied her face, and nodded at the owner of the strip club, hoping he wouldn't be that cruel... as to feed off of a blind woman.

Ara's face snapped from open to suspicious, "H-how do you know my name?" She starts to back away instinctively, "Well, if you don't know where i can find a store, i'll go find someone else to ask.." Ara was shaking- she never really told anyone her name-most people never asked.

Ara walked into the store and asked if there were any sunglasses. She picked one and paid for it by touch, also buying a pack of mints. She turned and walked back the way she had come, because she didn't know any other way to get back. She paused at the place where she had been frightened, frowning. Something didn't...feel right about this place... She shrugged and continued walking.

Paige stopped humming as she walked into the shop and bought a drink she started humming as soon as she got out of the shop and cursed at herself for it, she ducked behind a wall and out of the way of someone her father knew not wanting to be draged back home agan and given the lecture about the streets not being safe she remebered when he had told her about the vampires that roamed the streets she had laughed in his face and refused to learn how to fight with them she found it funny how her father belived in things like that he was suposed to be an adult, she smiled as the man walked past and didnt see her she began walking again not knowing where she was heading.

She walked in looking around smileing hopeing that she knew someone in here but she had never seen any of them before "damn" she said walking to the bar and ordering a drink and admireing the bar ladys outfit it turned out the saying: less is more actualy made sense here.

"Paige," Akora let the name linger on her lips as she approached the beautiful girl. She ran a finger through Paige's hair, grinning and extending her fangs. "Your father hunts my kind. How dare you be so insolent as to enter here." She realized that Paige had no idea where she was. Akora instantly pulled back her fangs. "You should learn your place," Akora hummed tranquilly.

"Oh please," Akora rolled her eyes. "Do you realize I have gained far more power than your "father" has ever seen?" She downed her shot and lit a cigarette. "Paige, it's still your choice. Whatever." She took a drag and looked around the club, studying the moving bodies, wondering where the vampire had gone. "It's ironic," Akora murmurs to no one. "First time I come back here I happen to chance a meeting with my daughter for the first time in years." She takes another drag and lets the smoke linger above her empty glass. She nods to the bartender, ordering a drink, not caring what's in it. Very little can kill a vampire. "What have you been doing with your life?"

"I was a bounty hunter for some vampires back... back where I used to live. Now I'm just flapping in the breeze," Akora smiled bitterly and let the cigarette smoke escape her lips again. She let her black eyes study her daughter carefully. She stroked Paige's cheek, still seeing her as a little baby being taken away. Akora screaming... Paige crying... She pushed away the memory. "Silly mortal myths."
