Does anyone have a wish that people think is just your imagination? Thats a fantasy that will never be true?
Being a vampire is my wish, not just a fantasy.
amanda mc
I wish world peace,no more wars,no more hate.
The Brood
Well I think everyone has wishes that other people may call unrealistic.
NightVision
I love my daydreams. When I'm down I can't seem to access them anymore and that is horrible.

Of course you wish fantasies were real, that's what fantasies are for. As long is a person can accept that such things may not happen and that it won't be the end of the world if they don't, then it's all good. Fantasies can be channelled especially well into art and creativity - which is what most people d when confronted with something that just won't come true, ie being a vampire. One could argue that vampire lifestyling is a form of creativity.

However, if your wish is to become a vampire, I have to ask: what steps can you take to make it come true, because I don't think there are any, and the first thing about fulfilling wishes is you have to have a plan of action.

Yeah, like a genie.

A lot of my wishes seem to come true...
Riches? I'm content.
Women? I'm content with one, and a lot of ladies arent.
Power? Don't need it.
tantedblood
I just wish it would come true. I don't have any plans on making it come true. I've come to the realization that my wish will probably not come true. I guess its just something I hope for to escape.
NightVision
There's no shame in indulging in escapism, as long as you keep it in perspective. When I was 16 I was so into the vampire idea I wrote myself a book containing all the things I wanted to read in a Vampire story. It was utter crap: but that didn't matter because I wrote it for ME. Ever tried that? before you ask, I'm afraid all fifty A4 pages of that story are gone, I didn't want my mum to find it and she was always nosing around so I destroyed it. Stupid, eh?
TessaG
Don't worry I wish I was one too

I think alot of people on this site want to be vampires and slowly realize this was the closest they'll get which is not very close at all, maybe joining a whole load of vampire sites and hanging out with hlv's was the plan of action to become a vampire lol. :devilflip: unsure.gif

I've dreamt many nights of my Embrace only to wake in the morning knowing that it won't happen. I am not sad about it though, it makes for wonderful daydreams and I keep a journal with 'installments' of these dreams and fantasies so I can read them later. I see nothing wrong in this either - as NV so eloquently put it it's a wonderful outlet for creativity. Draw your fantasies, write about them, paint.... there are a lot of different ways to express yourself.

i have come to realize that wanting to be someone or something we are not, does help us when we want to escape. it is a fantasy we all have in common. but they hardly come true (if unrealistic). it is alot better that we dream of something happening then to get what we want and be disappointed afterwards. sometimes things are not what they seem. it is better to dream all you want than to get something you may not want anymore. that's all i'm saying.
i too wanted to be a vampire..or rather liked the idea of being one.
after all...we can't always get our way.
even "world peace" is more realistic than vampirism.

Eridun.....i am also a Legend movie fanatic. i love your quote by the way! :devilflip:

I think that dreams are what make this life bearable. Without the wish of becoming something we are not, we will never desire change. That, to me, is what the wish of vampirism is. The desire to change who/what we are. I have wished to wake up and have all of my problems disappear. To be able to go out into a world where people either look at you as something special, or the same as them.

I'd love to go back in time to a place where i can exist without being persecuted for my religious beliefs. I'd really love to live in Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, pre-Roman Britain or Ancient Rome.
Carrie
I feel the same way that you do. I wish it but than again, I am all ready one. If you want to be come one you should talk to me. I could help you but than again i would have to talk to my father, Lestat. Sometimes I wish that I was a human but than again i would never become one. :devilnaughty:
NightVision
^ We could do with you in Modern vampires :) That's the place to express your Real Vampire Identity...if you post outside of that forum people are liable to question your claims. just to let you know.

There has never been a time in human history when people have not been persecuted for their beliefs.

Your "father" Lestat....

*Shakes head*

Sorry, I became distracted by the sight of a pig flying past my window and Satan driving a snowmobile to work. NightVision was right - posts like this will get you thrashed and laughed at.

Do you often wear helmets and velcro shoes?
Eridun
Bathory - thanks! my fiancee and I went as Darkness and Lily (in her black dress) last year for Halloween. those were fun costumes to make.
Hamato
I think its a good thing that wishes dont come true people are selfish and tend to beee a lil evil when they got that much power.
Nemesis Chylde
Hey, I warned her once not to make those kind of posts.... *shrugs* I'll do it again though.

Carrie...nobody is going to believe that kind of thing around here, and I don't expect them to hold their tongues and not say what they think of you for it. If you're going to make outlandish claims, expect some outlandish flames.
Archangel
Always wished to be a Jedi Knight, myself.

Or an Archangel.

Vampire? Hmm...nah.

X you're wonderful =)

Well as for hopes and wishes, I have come to realize that they wont come true only because we dont act upon our "wishes". Nothing is truely given to us. We must usually do something that leads to the receiving.
so wishes that you know cannot be possibly "granted" can be called fantasy/dream. the word "wish" to me is a fantasy.

praying is something that should be done not to "praise" or bow loyalty to a master created by some organization of control. Especially doing all of THAT in vain. If you cannot truely pray to something false , then what makes people believe that they can pray when it really matters.

now you may see praying and wishing as two seperate things. Praying for someones well-being, rather than wishing for a billion dollars(or becoming a vampire for that matter) But if you think about it they are quite alike.
If you really really wanted a person that you know to live well, you will act upon it.
If you really wanted a billion dollars, then you would get a job.
If you really wanted to become a vampire...i leave that up to you.
If I really wanted to see X , sire, or anyone here, I would act on it.

and you may also say "praying for luck.."
i dont really beleive in luck.
doesnt mean i beleive our lives are written, but what is done is done and could not happen any other way. Let us keep it this way.

keep praying though. It is a healthy thing to do. i dont want to discourage anyone. So just...do not listen to anything i have to say i guess..

I fear, the above happens all to common.

...my goal in life is to make my wishes come true. So, I suppose, one day, I will prove to the people that I can make my own wishes come true. (And, I'm speaking about the wishes that I know are in my grasp.)
