It appears that the same questions and assumptions
keep appearing here as they did on the old board. If
I may, I would like an opportunity to address some of
the more prevalent questions and myths.

Many people come here and in private or in the forum
want to know “who is real”. Now, do not misunderstand
me, I know all about curiosity about searching for answers.
I am forever a student where life is concerned. But I always
find the question as to “my reality” somewhat troubling. For
really ...what can anyone do to validate their reality to another.
As if someone could stand before another and demonstrate
who they are. If I were color blind, could I really show you
what it is like to see though my eyes.

In reality, I doubt you will find many here that would burst
into flame if they walked out into the sun. We do not sleep in
coffins, turn into bats or recoil at the sight of crosses. Killing for
food is an antiquated and frankly ridiculous concept. And most
of all, you will not finding anyone here that can “change “ you
into a vampire. Vampires are what they are, they were born that
way, anyone that tells you otherwise should be viewed with
extreme caution. Being “changed” is a fantasy, no more than
wishful thinking. If straight answers are wanted, then possibly
putting them into a realistic context would do much in facilitating
conversation.

But having said this, does that negate anyone here from being
a vampire...... If your answer is yes, then nothing that anyone
can say to you will change your mind. If however you do not
fall prey.... so to speak, to these fantasies, then there are many
here that can talk to you about what it is to be a living vampire
in this world, at this moment.

As to what or who is real, I would suggest that you take the
time to get to know those who come here. And then make
that decision for yourself. Although there is much fun here,
I can assure you that no one here would like to be thought
of as a joke. No one can tell you what to believe about those
that you find here. What I can advise you is not to jump to
conclusions. Because when you do that, you close your
mind to possibilities and once that happens, even reality
becomes difficult to understand... and even harder to believe.

I too enjoy the topics of conversation. My post was
more a way to anwer questions that have directed
to me through emails from people who visit this forum.
If I can say something once, instead of a dozen times,
it allows me more time to participate in interesting
topics of conversation. For to be honest, I do not
find myself all that interesting. I do however love
a good debate ~smile~ and I enjoy the points of view
you bring to the table.

I don't have real good debating skills... and I don't claim to be a vampire. I just project myself..as I *think* would have been... if things were different. I don't know. But... Anyway. I'm pretty sure I'm real. And some people are easily frustrated... because others don't understand why they feel the way they feel, or do the things they do. They don't have the same experiences. But I've come to accept that somewhat to an extent.

I am a real vampire as defined by what I've read on the vampire help link on vampire-church.com (minus the reincarnation thing, but alot of people there don't beleive that you have to beleive in and been reincarnated to be a vamp).

BTW it's nice to hear someone who doesn't beleive or perpetuate the typical stereo types (no offense to those who beleive in differant defenitions of vampires than I do, especially if there's any out there who don't claim there definition to be the only truth about vampires. It's the ones that claim anyone who isn't immortal or doesn't die from sunlight etc aren't vampires that really irk me)

The age old question is such because it will never be fully answered without first hand understanding. Hopefully everyone here ( must Unfortunate as it is) takes everything said with a grain of salt. There is no real way to know if any one who claims to be either vampire or not are really what they say. It's up to each and every one of us to decide for ourselves who we believe and who we think is full of well BS. That doesn't mean there should be raging discourse between a believer and a non. It's all got to come together in a harmony much like appeasment. Oh well such is life in our day and age no? BTW nice to see you again Olivia =)

I have done so much extensive research and investigations on vampires both through books, internet and in the field that I know my stuff very well and I guarantee that only 1-2% of the people on here that claim to be real and true vampires are in fact that and that is even questionable at that!

It's harder to be tollerant of beleifs that not only say their off the wall version exsists but that anything else isn't a vampire. That and the stereo types it perpetuates. Should a hard working black male not be offended if someone says that all black people steal? Why should it be any differant when someone says that all vampires are evil or that makes them look like bsers/crazynormal people (by that I mean telling the curious things they say apply to all vampires which includes something that at the least doesn't apply to all vampires i.e. immortallity, killed by sun etc)? I refuse to be tollerant of actions against me.

As a pureblood i feel insulted that someone would even consider me to prove my race to them. I was also shocked to find that people feel that we are merely legens and myths, and the internet has opened my eyes to the ignorant and small minded people in this world.

Though, the most irritating is of course when i tell them i am 21 and told i am too young to be a vampire! Where on earth has that concept come from? Yes i was born in 1981- do they think vampires stopped having sex and breeding 1000's of years ago...no way.

There is a new generation and we have strengths different from those of our elders.

Who cares if they do not believe in us? Does it really make a god damn difference? Let them watch their Blade and read their Anne Rice and love/hate us. The bottom line is, there are many things that even we shall nevert know, and i do not wish to share ourselves with such evil creatures as they. You do not find us killing one another like they do.

We are after all, all individuals with our own special and different ways and traits. People should be perceived on an individual basis and not be pegion holed as a specific genre of vampire.

i do choose to believe there are vampires that will live for 100's of years with out hard proof.

i am also trying very hard to separate truth from myth. something i'm having trouble doing. epescially when is comes to the topics of becoming "immortal"

half the vamps i talk to say you are born "immortal" and that is it.

the other half say you can be changed.

if anyone wouldn't mind clearing this up. it would be helpful.

You certainly limit yourself to how many vamps or people who say they are vamps you talk to if all of them beleive in immortality or greatly lengthened lifespans.

in my statement above about "immortality" i only included those i talked to who believe in "immortality" not the one eho don't

I am a vampyre as long as I know. I do not care if u are a vampire or not. I dont care if u dont drink blood. All I care about is if you would be a great friend. Not just as a vamire though.

The one thing I have been outcasted for by my peers is that I have an open mind. That, and the fact I a least act a lot like a vampire. Speaking of vampiric characteristics, did any of you have a different personality before you, well, "awakened"? I dont mean completely different, just something about you before that made it obvious to you that you had changed more? And were you sort of "led" to things about vampires after that change, i.e. books, or even a forum such as this? As if you stumbled across it accidentaly? Sorry if my questions bother anyone, and feel free to correct me.

Artemis...a succubus or incubus are demons, not vampyres....and both normally pertain to sexual demons...although perhaps u could call what they do a form of vampirism I guess.....

Here is my story and I assure you it is true.

My father has been a vampire hunter since he was 15 years of age, so was my grandfather and his father before him, when I got old enough my father began to take me with him (I mainly just carried his stuff and tagged along). However I received a call one day of an attack my father was out, I could not find him so I grabbed my father’s equipment and went alone. My inexperience caused me to be tied to a telephone pole, beaten with a metal rod and bitten 3 times.


I barely survived.

Also, I am real...else, I could not type, usually fake people can't type... anyway im being silly. I can usually tell who is real, in whatever sense they claim...and who is just a poser trying to pick up women, or men. Or to be someone they are not.

Regardless of this, i think everyone is entitled to their opinion, and all. I am in no way a vampyre nor have I ever claimed to be one. I used to want to be one but that was only because of hollywood and their dramatization of vampyres. I found this site and realized (after talking to a certain few individuals) that vampyres aren't all they're cracked up to be. So now that I :) know the truth, I am happy to just be plain ol' me.

And in this post I mean to find maybe an answer or two to my doubts. Here I go. I have researched vampires before and have come up with legitimate information about diseases the emulate vampiric behavior and weakness. You know, paleness of skin and sensitivity to sunlight, but other than that i do not see anything about it all being true. What I really want is, some sort of...something. I would like to say proof, but if you are trully what you say you are then i want your privacy and your secret kept, so if you are willing...just a discussion. I would like to see some tid bit of info to make me believe. So if it is fine with any of you, i would like to ask questions...i don't mind if you decide to turn down the question, or not post here at all. All I'm looking for is an understanding.

hmmm Sounds like someone I know... But I am not going there. I doubt you want my opinion and answers since I am not very good at it but I know others may help you found what your looking for.

I'm looking for anything that might enlighten me. Or not enlighten me. I am curious to many things, this topic is just what makes me most curious. Are you real, or (and I will try to say this the best I can) are some of you just in need of some heavy medication. I go into most situations as an unbeliever. But I must say some of you sound like you know very much, and some of you sound as if you know very little and are just a wanna be. I'm sorry if some of that sounds harsh, that is not my intention. But let me ask: How are vampires made? Are you born a vampire or are you made one? And if you are born one, do both of your parents possess the vampiric "gift" also?

It may help if you ask specific questions.Many here -will- answer them, if you ask for specifics....

I can say this, from what I know (not being a vampire)... they are much different than the portrayal of Hollywood Hype.

There are many topics in this forum that might assist you. You may have to page back to locate some of them.... as the topics do change.

There are several different classifications of vampires and to some extent these classifications have sub-classes. There are Psi Vampires. Sangs, Classicals, Inheritors, Genetic..... I am not sure what it is that you are looking for.

You will find a topic about HLV's and also one about Sangs and another to Classicals.... these three topic have a pretty wide variety of information.
