Hi!
First, I'd like to say that you have a great forum.
I have this problem, lately, that has been troubling me.
From some months now, I have been feeling the need to bite the neck of people, and drink as much blood as I can. I'm still a normal person, barring that (don't have no fangs either), but sometimes, I feel overpowered. The other day, in a bar, some people where fucking with a kid, and they went to the parking space to beat him. I followed them, and beat them up with a 2X4, and, after the kid ran away, I cut the wrist of one of the muggers with my butterfly knife and drank a little of blood.
I felt my humanity eroding, and, in a shock, I shouted for the police, and ran away...
It seems that the muggers just went to the hospital, and they're all right, but I'm worried about this bloodlust. Then, I had an inspiration. Perhaps I'm becoming one of them vampires, and I'd like some guidance. Do you have group meetings, or conventions, that I can attend? Care to offer me some advice?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Group meetings? Yes!
Its called VA - Vampires Anonymous
and its a 12 step program to becoming a better vampire
1)The first step in the meeting is to admit that you are a Vampire and you need blood
2)come to believe that a power greater than yourself can resurect you from death
3)make a decision to sleep all day and drink blood all night
4)abandon all morals
5)admit to yourself and to another vampire the nature of remaining human desire to do good
6)become entirely ready to embrace the darkness
7)know that you have no shortcomings
8)make a list of all the people who stand in your way
9)do what is nessesarry to those people
10)continue
11)do something spooky like an evil laugh
12)your now a vampire

Jolly rodger: you do know your admitting to crimes on a public forum which you can easily be traced though?
and if you actually did drink someone's blood you may want to go to the clinic ASAP to get a blood test, because the worst diseases are blood born.
as for the blood lust: go see a psychiatrist, your not a vampire "which is a re-animated corpse or ghost that drinks blood from the living."

But do I need to die first?
It's all right, then. I'll give it a pass...

aside from being born certain ways and local superstitions as to deformaties, there are no noticable affects in life that one will become a vampire at death.

Hello Jolly_Roger: I'm your friendly forum moderator.
I'd like to reiterate what Rhuen has said. Talking about acts of violence (even in jest) is not welcome here. We like our board, we don't want it closed down for irresponsible postings. Also I don't want to have to add anybody who posts here to my Vampire Serial Killers thread.
Lots of people like to tell us about their shocking Vampire attributes - and often aren't believed - but talking about hurting people is a nono. Tell us about your amazing Vampire lifespan, or feats of flying and allergy to sunlight minstead. We can just about cope with that.
Or you could just talk about the concept of Vampires in a serious sense. That's preferable above everything else.
Best Wishes.

the same kinds that made some people think there children were changlings, or in some cultures the children of demons, or any number of things, they don't actually mean anything.

i notice a change but it means nothing. i noticed i enjoyed the moon more than the sun. the first drink i had was of my own but it was unbelievable. then i asked only certain ppl for a taste. of course its just the taste i'm after, and i check their medical background and make sure they are safe to drink from. i don't bite anyone on the neck, its savage. i use more practical methods. other than that i'm not a real vampire and i only drink blood because its an addiction.

Welcome to the forum Epyon, I hope you have a good time here.
I'm hoping to put up a post on safety precautions in the Vampire community, so I hope you will give us the benefit of your knowledge on that score.

:meow: I truly do not mean this to be crass....in fact I am glad. Finally I have seen another young man who like myself, likes the taste of blood and yet does NOT claim to be a vampire...I truly wish there were more who wanted blood for the pure savage pleasure or it...not to join some group.

Which deformities are those?
I have both male and female reproductives organs, and a rare clinical condition which makes me produce fermons in what they tell me is a bittersweet fragance that heightens sexual desire. I used to work in the adult film industry, but my family found out, and now I work at a gas station.
Oh, and I have two birthmarks, one in the shape of a skull and another in the shape of an albino platypuss.
On the other hand, I was abused as a child, does that count as a vampiric trait?

So, in these "deformities" we don't classify any one as vampire. I hope, I really really hope that we don't like to classify abused children (some of which find haven here) as vampiric because they picked up a habit. Oh well, if that made any sense at all.
I have to say, I myself share a liking for blood, its salty to me and I'm an obsessive compulsive about salt so it kind of just joined my list of good salty foods.

No the organs thing would make you a hermaphrodite, not a vampire.
as for birth marks, no those don't count, being born with a cowl or born with teeth is a sign in some cultures that you may "MAY" become a vampire AFTER you die.

i think i ran into some psi-vampire before. she used to be a good friend of the family. when she would visit my cousin she would always give her a hug. she would be slow and sluggish at first but after the hug she would be all hyped up. then i noticed my cousin got really sleepy after that hug and wanted to sleep every time she came around.
When my grandfather passed away, our friend wouldn't enter the door and asked if my cousin wanted to talk outside but my cousin was catching on. after that she never came back.
Regarding to earlier i don't drink blood to fit in. almost no one see's me drink it, only a few individuals witness my collecting process. it doens't really taste that salty. depends on which part of the tongue the blood drips. it can be sweet, but if you let it drip on the wrong side, bitter. i find it harder to do this in private. some people understand, while others look down in shame for what i do. but kudos to those who tolerate such behavior.

That's interesting. Do you have a theory as to why this friend didn't want to enter the house?

i only have one theory. my cousin talked to her about that my cousin knew about what she was doing. she kind of backed off. whatever the reason she never came back.

That is pretty interesting. I don't seem to be affected by any of the old "things" that would harm vampires although i feel physical pain when I enter a church but other than that nothing. I seem to be unaware of what exact kind of vampire I may be...that is why I search for the person who made me. Maybe someone out there can help me? But anyway I know that I can steal energy from people, but I can do it to heal them or i can just outright steal it, it's complicated...sorry i don't mean to steal the spotlight, so please procede.

it doesn't matter if it can be proven that vampires are real or not they are beautiful creatures that do what we do, try to live our lives. all i can say is energy, blood, or both kinds vampires will always fascinate and inspire me.

I hope you can say more, because vampires seem to fascinate a lot of us and another opinion is always welcome. Please enjoy yourself. But then again, I don't believe in vampires so we don't know if they live like us.

It all comes back to labels...Is a vampire really anything more than someone willing to do what a vampire does?
Is it any better or worse?
Is it any more controllable....the human mind is a little known thing.

you've got that right. a lot of things are unknown right now. but i don't believe that absence of evidence means that things don't exist. on the 2-disc extended cut version of Underworld, there's a featurette called Fang or Fiction, really good segment, but i won't go in to detail. i think my system has or is building up a tolerance for blood. I remember as a kid, I threw up after my tonsils were taken out, because of the amount of blood ingested, though I don't know how much I did. But with bloody noses and wisdom teeth taken out, I could handle a fair amount. and maybe that's a new diet thing, I'm sure a solely blood diet would cut down on some much needed off poundage. but i'm especially aware of things transmitted in the blood, i.e. blood-born pathagens such as hepatitis and stuff....crazy.....and many other diseases. bad news. but i would say if i was going to drink blood it wouldnt be because i needed it, it would be a social thing. i'm always up for new things

No, NightStalker, sadly, I'm not a believer. I don't think I ever was, but in a sense, I think that most of us think that we are vampires on a certain level.
Inike, why does the social blood drinking appeal? And how does that clean the blood of disease? I think it would still probably hurt you pretty bad.

I had my tonsils taken out too but my experience was different...I had a vivid dream (or so they tell me for it seems real to me) I was on a trollet being pulled through corridors and whisked into a room where a implement was slipped down my throat and scraped against my throat till I tasted blood...I felt the incredible pain and fear but could do nothing.
When I woke up I was told to eat toast to make sure I didn't throw up on a stomach full of blood but I didn't want anything to eat...the idea of anything solid passing my throat made me want to scream...makes me wonder if a lot of 'vampires' are those who've had their tonsils out who had an early experience of ingesting blood and an aversion to solids created at the same time.
Just a theory.
If it were people who thought they were Dolphins it would be an easier question...At most they are humans with the brains of a Dolphin...but a vampire is not so easily defined....a vampire...drinks blood...looks human...does anything else matter?
We all know what a Dolphin can do but we only know vampires through film and fiction...there is no reason to presume that because the fiction is ridiculous the reality is just as false....check out early drawings and accounts of Whales etc...they do exist but they aren't covered in scales/demons/Monsters etc...

Ive been sensitive to the sun since I was little I break out in hives,I have to wear prescription sunglasses,If Im out in it for prolonged periods at a time i throw up,so I try not to go out during the day as much as possible.I prefer the night because I enjoy the energy it gives off and i am more active.I sleep every 3 nights if im lucky which I have done for many years now.I have enjoyed the taste of blood and craved it since I was about 11 years old.But I dont drink in front of people although i do have a donor.that is tested regularly.I am sensitive to peoples emotions and can manipulate the energy very well..Does these things make me a vampyre? Some would read this and say yes, others would read and say what a wanna be.Trust me when I say the only thing I wanna be is me.These are only a few of the qualities that make up the person I am..there is so much more to me than just this.
The tonsil theory is an interesting one...its one of the most interesting ideas ive heard in awhile.

I also drink blood because of it's taste. Maybe my girlfriend and I role-play sometimes as vampires. But we never claim to be one. We just like the taste of blood, and like the other person said, it's an addiction.. it's like water for me. I wake-up drinking blood.. go to sleep drinking blood.
It's all but an addiction.

Is it possible that there's some sort of nutritional imbalance that makes one crave blood? (Though I doubt anyone takes down enough blood to truly satisfy any nutritional requirement, perhaps just the craving itself is the only symptom.) I'm just asking, I know it seems a silly question, but I am curious as to what you think.

how about another theory to throw into the discussion.
Blood is symbolic for life and power throughout many cultures from the ancient historic to modern day life.
The blood is the life... in the christian faith.. The blood sacrificies in ancient Inca history, and many other ancient cultures i might add.
I think on a psycological level, we as humans, mammals if you will. Have a primordial instinct, well several actually, and one of the two most obvious that we remain with in modern 'civilised' culture, and i use that term loosely, is reproduction and blood.
If you think about it blood is symbolic at every stage of our lives. Birth, with women every period is a constant reminder of reproduction oppertunites and death (i know not all deaths require the spilling of blood, but for some reason society still regards soldiers as having a brave sending off if they have died in battle)
As our cultures have matured and we no longer make blood offerings the roles of responsibility changes in mass acceptance. We constantly move further away as a race from the belief of god or gods being resposible for our every failure or success, and as we accept more individual credit for our successes and failures so increases our need to be recognised for them...
brief version..ancient history.. society felt god or gods were responsible for all our good and bad acheivements and would often make blood sacrifices to appease/reward the gods. Now we live in modern society that largley accepts we are each responsible for our own failures and glory, popular culture focus' more on power statements for individuals.. wealth for each not just the church, that includes the ingestion of blood...kind of amalgamating the primordial urge with modern popular culture....
does that make any sense?
