Ic-
A girl not much older than 15 sits on a gray barrier on what people call Hallows End although the mountain is called Linum Peek and the road close to the edge of the huge mountain is called Linum cross. She looks down and sees nothing but black the road was closed years ago because at the one point were she sat now cars used to go of the road because the road took a sharp turn, some said it was haunted but in the years that she had been coming here she had seen nothing but the beauty of the dark cliff. Nothing could be seen for all she new there could be a river or earth or even rocks down there and she sat on this cold gray barrier with her legs dangeling of the edge she held on with one hand but never gripped tite, the first couple of times she had sat here she was scared but now she felt a great carmness.
Here she could be alone in the darkness she could look up and see more mountains as the full moon cast a spooky glow over the other mountains she remembered the history of the Linum mountains they had pushed so called witches of the clif they would say if thy witch falls to her death thy will die honnorably if thy should fly thy is a witch and i condem thy to hell she smiled she didnt think any of these so called witchs would fly, she had done a project on it for her school before she left turned out to be the best god damn project she had ever done.
She had walked up here by herself as she had always done she had followed the road until a large gray barrier put up to stop cars from going to far, she then had climbed over the barrier and then she had walked to were she sat now putting her bag near her so that if need be she could grab it easy. Her long curly black hair moved in the wind and when the moon light hit her clothes you could see the small black leather jacket and she had black skirt on she almost blended in with the night, she hummed a haunting tune but it sounded beautiful her.

IC : Zelf drove his black 4by4 jeep up the steep slopes at an incredible speed as he always did when he went home.
Loud music pumped out of his car radio he had always loved metal even though he was far older than the music itself.
He was almost near the barrier at the end of the road only two more turns to go.
He turned off his music and senced a human near the entrance of his cave.
"Her again?"
He stopped the car and turned off the engine.
He got out not making a sound. He crawled up the hill like only a vampire could.
His long leather coat blended with the dark rocks almost perfectly.
His sleek pale fingers held onto the stones with unbelievable power.
His black pants rustled in the cold wind. He never wore a shirt only one rare occasions. a small stone came rolling down the hill moved by a bird flying from it's nest and struck his chest.
The small cut healed immeadiatly without a trace.
He was now sitting on the hill about ten yards from the girl.
She had been coming here for quite some time yet he never spoke to her or even let her know he was there.
SHe was humming, he heard every decibel with his fine tuned ears.
He closed his greyblue eyes at the beautifull sound.
He wondered if she played an instrument.
After a while he guessed the notes and guided her humming with an imaginary ruler of notes and started swaying to the melody.
A small rock tumbled down from where he sat all the way down next to her off the cliff.

She stopped humming as she heard the rock "huh?" she looked around but couldnt see much because the moon had gone behind the trees she shrugged her shoulders still keeping hold of the barrier, she looked down but only saw the dark then she looked up but only saw the dark she laughed softly at herself even though she had a strange feeling but that could be from the fight she had earler that night. She began humming another song with the same haunting tone to it then she heard another rock fall she stopped humming and looked around "is anyone here?" she wanted to hit herself for saying such a silly question.

A girl came trudging along the road, dragging her feet. Her faded jeans were torn here and there, and her baggy shirt was old and dirty. "I'm gonna get it right this time, you'll see. There's no doubt that it's gonna work this time." she mumbled to herself as she climbed over the barrier. Tears blurred her vision. She was too caught up in her own feelings to hear the melody. She walked right up to the edge, and peered down into the fathomless darkness. "This time I won't be comming back!" she mumbled. She tilted forward slightly, redying herslf for the plunge into death...

Zelf saw the girl preparing to jump and he spoke softly forgetting about the girl humming.
3too many humans have lost their lives on this cliff. But not ever has one jumped down willingly."
He got up and walked down the hill slowly.
He saw the humming girl and realised she could hear him.
He might have to kill both now.
"What a dying day"
He groaned and stepped up next to the girl humming his 6"1' body seeming tall as a tower next to her.

She finaly saw the girl and with one quick movement she jumped over the barrier hitting the earth and grabbed the girl before she fell "hey" she said softly and walked backward still holding the girl by the arms she saw the man but her attention was more fixed on the girl "if i let go you promise not to hit me?" her grip could not be broken even by the strongest human.

IC: The girl was crying, totally hopeless. "It's never gonna work, is it? I'll always fail..."she whispered to the girl gripping her. " Why would I hit you? It's my fault: I should have come when no one was here..."

He saw the humming girl jump and grab the other girl.
she was quick and agile. What a pity she had seen him and therefore had to die.
"Let her go she won't jump anymore i believe."
In his long years of life he had read alot of psychology books.
She wasn't fighting the girls grasp so she would not jump, the fear had come over now.
"It would save me some work if she did but I'm hungry."
He bared his fangs as he smiled.
He walked to them slowly his body almost radiating power.

She let her go and stepped in front of the girl and said to the man in her powerful voice "you have no idea who you are messing with here, get the hell out of here im busy we can fight later"she looked at the girl and said in a calm voice "its ok your going to be fine, please let me help you i cant let you hurt yourself" as he walked to her she smiled as if she knew something he didnt "shame its always the cute ones who are dead" the moonlight made her small cross sparkle

He stepped back at the sight of the small cross.
He bowed politely at her words.
"I thank you for your compliment. You are a fine woman."
He thought for a moment of how to comfort the crying girl. He had a serious weakness for crying girls, he couldn't stand it.
He waved his hand at her and she fell to the ground unconsious.
"No need to harm me I just erased her memory for the past ten minutes."
He looked at the cross again and crossed his arms and smiled at her.

She had smiled as he saw her cross and as he talked.
She looked at the girl on the floor and then turned back to him "well thats a new one i havnt seen vampires do that before" her voice less soft and more powerful she smiled and looked at him waiting for him to attack her.

He smiled at her.
"Let's just say I have had lots of time to practise."
He jumped over her and landed on the road barrier.
He sat down one knee under his crossed arms.
"I believe you are new at the buisiness or you just haven't met alot of old purebloods yet."
He gave a small hearty laugh his fangs glinting in the moonlight like small poloshed daggers.

"ive been fighting vampires since i was 13 and yes i havnt meet many old pure bloods" she smiled remembering an old pureblood that she had killed it had cause a lot of vampires in the area to come and hunt her down "but i have meet one or two" she looked at the way he sat it amused her for some reason and unlike most people the fangs didnt bother her.

He looked at her beautifull smile and laughed again softly.
"I am pleased to tell you then that I'm not an old fart in my race."
He slid down from the barrier walked past the fainted girl and streeked the hunters cheek with a cold finger.
"And what might your lovely name be?"

She looked at him feeling the coldness of her cheek as he touched her "Mackenzie, and you are?" she made no attempt to move away from him as she was as fast as a vampire and stronger.

"My names Zelf."
He walked around her slowly.
"does that strong name of yours come with a first name?"
He sized her up seeing if she had any weapons but it was hard to see with her coat.
He walked to the edge of the cliff and sat down dangling his feet.

She didnt turn around as he walked around her more than likely looking for weapons, she did have weapons but they were hidden "ah but that is my first name" she looked at him he was in the same place she was and he dangled his feet of the edge like she had done so many times she realised she had never fought a vampire in this place it was her faveret place to go and now she would have to fight him here she frowned "you know we should be fighting now" he didnt seem like he wanted to fight her but she had to fight him.

She seemed to be urging for battle.
He just smiled at her cooly.
"I don't see why we should fight. I have done you no harm and you have done none to me."
He smiled at her friendly and he meant it.
He had never liked the idea of killing humans.

This was the first time a vampire didnt want to fight with her she was a little surprised
"well it is kinda my responsability to fight your kind"
he seemed so friendly but vampires were tricky and she would never trust them.

The girl turned onto her stomache and and moaned.

He sighed.
"I hate fighting over and over again. Too much hate involed in our species."
He spoke with a calm voice and looked out in front of him.
"You see this?"
He took off his coat. his upper body was very pale almost shining in the moonlight.
A small tatto was placed on his right shoulder.
It was in the shape of a rose with a dagger cutting of the rosebud.
"It means I'm cast away from my family."
He sighed again and put his coat besides him on the cliff.
"I'm 912 years old and have never enjoyed the warm sun on my skin."
He was rambling against a hunter he would most likely have to fight anyway but he didn't care.
He just wanted to finally speak his mind to someone, be it man or vampire.

He turned to the girl and helped her up from the ground looking into her eyes.
"Hi."

she looked at the girl as she turned she was going to get in the way, then she listened to him speak and looked at his tatto which she thought was beautiful but didnt say anything.
As he helped the girl up Mackenzie looked on edge she didnt want the girl finding out that she was a slayer "Hi, look are you ok?" she stepped next to the girl and looked at her.

She looked up at the man, an unearthly hugh surrounding him. "Did I get it right? Am I dead?" she frowned. The last thing she remembered was walking down the road. But maybe that's wah happens when you die, she thought.

He looked at her gently and held her up by the waist stabilising her.
"No you are not dead. You fell off the barrier and bumped your head dear."
He pointed at the barrier on the road.
"Sit down and relax." He guided her over to a big boulder on the side of the road and heaved her up it making her sit down.
He took his coat jumped up on the boulder and placed it around her.
"Here it's cold out."

She followed him not wanting to be to far away from the girl
incase he attacked her "does anything hurt? are you in pain?"
she went along with his story

"Shit! Why do I always have to get everything wrong?!" she scolded herself. "Thanx." she said as the man put his coat around her."Who are you?"

"My name is Zelf."
He looked concerned at the girl why would she want to kill herself?
"You'll get it right someday but why die?"
He was trying to cheer her up a little.
He winked at the Mackenzie signing for her to come over.

She sat down beside him and looked at the girl "im Mackenzie"

She wiped her wet cheeks...when had she been crying? She aknowledged Mackenzie and answered Zelf:"There's no reason for me to live, but each time I try to end it all, something happens to prevent it!"

He looked at her compasionatly.
"Maybe you're not meant to die yet. Ever thought about that?"
He got up from the rock and helped her down.
"my car is down the road you want a drink?"
He always had ice tea with him in his car. It didn't provide any nurishment, he just liked the taste of it.

Mackenzie looked at Zelf with a look of disbelif at how he acted then she shook the thought away "i have vodka in my bag if you want something stronger" she blushed as she looked her age and by law she wasnt supose to be drinking, she walked over to her bag which seemed to get heavyer every time she picked it up she opened up the side pocket and pulled out a bottle "care for some water Zelf?" she smiled mischievously knowing it was holy water and he probebly had the same thought.

He smiled at her grinning.
"Sure why not."
He wanted to show her he was not afraid of her.
He winked at her as he took the bottle.
He threw his head back and let it poor out on the ground.
It looked from leilas view that he drank the entire thing in one gulp.
A little was left in the bottle.
He passed it to Leila.
"Here have some you need your strength."

Mackenzie smiled "quite a thirst you got there" she said softly, she would fight this guy but with the girl in the way she couldnt do a thing and she guessed he knew that "someone should do something about that" she said smileing.

He simply smiled at her.
"I don't usually drink any. I have a good friend at a hospital who hands me free food."
His eyes were glazed he looked at leila with a frown in his expression.
He was a lover not a fighter.
He could put up quite a fight when he had to but he never enjoyed killing.
He decided to drop the sharades and speak plainly.
"Why do you insist about fighting me? what have I ever done to you?"

"just you being alive....well not alive but..." she didnt know how to say the words without makeing her self sound like a crazy person "i have to weather i like it or not, i have too" she seemed sad for a second but tried not to show it "its well hard to talk about infront of people and im sure you dont go around telling people what you are and i defanatly dont go around telling humans what i am" she said rather angry that he questioned her about what she was born to do.
"i am sorry i apear so rude but im realy not" she said to the girl

He was now growing tired of the conversation and decided to have fun.
It was against the rules of his race but he couldn't care less.
He turned to Leila and smiled showing his fangs.
"I'm sorry to tell you this now but I'm a pure blood vampire."
He looked back at mackenzie and continued speaking with his calm voice.
"And she is a hunter. Technically we should be fighting now for dear life but I'm tired of hiding from people and lying."
He prepared for the worst.

She was pissed off but tried to hold herself back "thats some nice dentist work you got there must have cost you a lot to get fake fangs" she tired to stop herself from hitting him "and as for the hunter thing, your right i do hunt animals horrable evil little animals" she looked into his eyes almost dareing him to say something her eyes showed her hate towards vampires and her power it was something about how the dark brown shone in the moonlight.

He snickered as she answered.
"Dentist work?"
He was now laughing out loud, the sound carrying far in the utter silence.
"I believe you have it all wrong dear."
He liked this conversation more and more.
It was fun to piss her off. She was trying to keep Leila calm and not reveal hersalf.
He pointed his hand at a rock it floated for a second and droped to the ground again with a clatter.

She looked at the rock and then to the sky "cant say i didnt try" she looked at him and punched him not her hardest punch but it caused him to fall back a bit "opps look what lil old me did" she sounded amused but also a little angry "vampires are such show offs"

He rolled back behind the stone and laughed as he hit the ground.
"Thats quite a punch you have there."
He stood up and jumped over the rock facing her.
"If you want I can just leave."
He jumped backwards off the cliff.
"Bye."

She made no attempt to look over the edge in case he was hanging onto the edge "damn it" she said more to herself then she looked at the girl "come on, we should get you to a safe place you know what he is and thats not good" she looked at the woman and opened her bag taking out a cross and handed it to her "this wont kill it but well it will help a lil" she looked down at her feet "im sorry you got involved in this" she wished she was old enough to drive and own a car that would have been a lot easyer she looked at the girl waiting for her to say something.

he chuckled to himself as he stood at a 90° angle on the cliff.
He had trained wall walking for several decades now and was becoming pretty good at it.
He thought about the hunter, he couldn't keep his ears off her.
He heard her heartbeat faint away as she walked away from him with Leila.
He creeped back up the cliff and sat there in silence.
Another person that left him.
Alone in the darkness again.
"Oh well."
He sighed and jumped from rock to rock towards his car passing the slowly walking couple almost unheard.

"so you want to tell me a little bit about yourself? you dont have to" she looked around whilst they walked and sighed "do you have a home? what i mean is would you like me to walk you home? or i dunno protect you" she sounded so dumb but she never realy talked to people before she hadnt realy talked to vampires before until tonight she thought about Zelf for a second but shook the thought away "erm there is no need to worry or anything just be on look out for anything strange" she shook her head "what i mean is...." she stopped for a second and climbed over the gate she held a hand out to help the girl up "ill kill him" she frowned at her self "i mean it ill kill it before it halms you"

He could hardly repress his maughter when he reached his car.
"Harm her?"
He'd never even think of it.
Kiss or gently nibble maybe but never harm.
It just wasn't him. Killing had gone out of style ages ago.
He stepped into his car and slammed the door shut hard enough so mackenzie would know where he was.
He took a can of iced tea from his back seat , put his feet up against the dashboard and turned on his stereo so loud that even a deaf person would know where he was.
Blind guardian (music) boomed out of his car while he took a sip from his drink.
He closed his eyes and waited.

She heard the noise and then the music "come on lets go" she looked at the girl and then said "Damn it" she couldnt run away from him even though she knew she should "i have to go kill him... i mean it, kill it" she couldnt just walk away it wasnt who she was "look wait here....or go to your house...just do not follow me" she walked away and stopped to look at the girl "i should be protecting her" she whispered to herself and turned around and walked to were the music was "but yet i have to be stubern and go fight him" she cursed at her self and then came across his car the music was so loud like how she played her music but she didnt know the song.

Leila frownd, things were happening too fast for her little brain. She looked at Mackenzie as she helped her over the gate. Leila heard a car door slam shut and some loud music. The chilly wind blew and she shrugged deeper into the coat. The Coat! She was still waering that nice man's coat. Cltching the cross Mackenzie had given her she said: "Don't Worry, I'll be right back..." And she ran off in the direction of the booming music.

He opened an eye as he sensed her coming.
He turned the music down a little so he could talk to her.
"Hi what brings you here o fair slayer?"
He pushed the button on his dashboard and the doors unlocked.
He was playing with his life but he didn't care.
He was too old to care about living.
He smiled at her as she approached.
"Ice tea?" He held out his arm through the open window and offered her a can.

"fair slayer" she laughed at him "you know why i am here" she looked at him and pouted a little when he said ice tea "we are supose to fight" she sighed and leaned on the front of his car looking at him through the window.

He made a shush movement with his hand and said to her smiling.
"There is always time to fight later. As you can see I'm not running from you so why down you come in and have a drink?"
He patted the keather seat next to him and smiled.
"If you don't like the ice tea I have beer or whiskey if you want."
She looked kind of cute for a human when she pouted.
