I was looking through the spells thread and thaught "I listed objects that could be built, but not every thing can be listed easily with instructions "some objects need certain places, conditions, and sounds/gestures to make." and then there are those singular objects that possess some great power and this thread is for all of them.
hand made charms,
sacred items,
devine weapons. what ever it is so long as its an inanimate object and has magic this thread is for it.

to begin

The Ark of the Covenant: A gold and silver box, with four loops "two on each side to place wooden poles through as touching the ark could prove disastrouse, on the lid are two figures that look like the goddess Isis faceing each other with open wings. In hebrew stories it held the Tablets which the commandments were written on, but it was the box that had the power inside it, fire lighting and the power of God came from it.
in one story it was placed before a statue of the god Dagon and Yahweh inside the ark wrestled with Dagon and defeated him and shattered the statue thus displaying that Yahweh is mightier than any other god and is the only one that should be worshiped.
an interesting note this box is virtually identical in description to the Box of Ra, a mystic artifact with the same powers that was given the first pharoah by the sun god Ra, this box could be placed on certain mystical spots to "recharge"
the final resting place is not known, some claimed it was held by kinf soloman but may have been stolen or moved, there is a group that claimes it is in a cave that only a select few may enter. other claime it is held in other places. but all this gets mixed up as their are several simialrly described boxes.

I hope I'm not blowing your thread by not keeping this mystical. From all I read about the ark it seemed to have a power source within itself. Same as you stated about the Box of Ra, which I do feel are one in the same. One day someone is going to solve one of these riddles and I want to be right there when it happens. There was a special on about the Templars (I hope I got that right, it was a long time ago) who had been tracing and searching for the ark. I think they had narrowed it down to Iraq or Iran and then lost it again. I doubt that it still exists. Someone would have destroyed it out of ignorance by now. ^_^

I find the stories surrounding the heretic priest of Rennes-le Chateau very interesting.

A poor priest in France literally became very rich overnight: but would not tell people how. He built a church which on first inspection looks like a normal country church, except that some of the details of the carvings and the layout of the church were distinctly unconventional. Did he make a pact with the devil? What was the significance of the shepherds painting? Did he find the Ark of the Covenant? The Holy Grail? For more see:HERE.

The next mystic item

The Holy Grail: the cup Jesus drank out of at the last supper: in all probability it was reused by other people and thrown away, but the middle ages being a time when every one was looking for reliquaries this came up as a sacred object so we get the myths about it and it haveing powers suhc as granting youth to whoever drank from it. Supposedly the Knights Templar found it and had it some where, before the where "disbanded" to put it nicely by King Phillip and rather or not they actually found it remains unknown, but considering how it would have looked in reality it would have just been a plane copper cup. nothing special.

Weeping stones: said to be cursed artifacts, druids would use them to curse people. one famouse incident "in which an actual weeping stone is kept in the main house today, and featured on a Sightings type show" supposedly three or two of these stones were placed on the property because the lord of the house turned away and insulted a druid priest, so until they find all the stones the first born son of each man who lives in the house will die an un-natural death "which has been true although where and when is has never remained consistant."
the actual stone is kept in a wood bowl in a dry place where the bowl has to be emptied each day of water "the source has never been figured out" and many scientists right it off as condensation 'even though there is too much water".

i wonder if you know any thing about apotropaics? apotropaic objects
Rhuen
basically yes, I have some such objects in the spells thread "spells for the never ending tomarrow" I decided to adopt that thread and stear it away from spamming and use it to list varoiuse magic spells, potions, and items that are interesting.

and several ingredients listed with the same properties but not specifically focused on yet.

The Golden Apple of Discort:
in Greek mytholgy the god of war Aries had little helpers "not always clear if they are gods themselves "basically we would call them angels by monotheist standards" they were low on the pantheon. these beings amongst them was Discort, she had an item that was a golden apple "not to be mistaken with the norse golden apples, or the one Hercules had to find" she would throw this apple in to a calm area or amongst seemenly peacefull people and they would see this apple and instantly want to own it so they will fight each other and while they are fighting Discort would take the apple back, thus these people could never have a viable excuse to be fighting.

The holy grail was not a cup, but Gospels

The Gospels in the Bible were selected from over eighty contemporaneous accounts of Jesus teachings, including his own diary

Jesus was married to Mary Magdelene. He is called a Rabbi in the Bible. A Rabbi at the time was required to be married.

They had children, who were spirited to France and became the Bourbon lines of Kings

The early Church, in order to bolster its power, needed to be rid of the female side of this union, so Mary became a prostitute. Jesus became divine, by virtue of the virgin birth. This allowed the early church to go head to head with other religions with their Son Of God

The Holy Grail is the proof that Mary and Jesus were married, and the evidence of their bloodline. It was found in Jerusalem by nine knights, who were awarded enormous power by Rome, and who became the Knights Templar

The Holy Grail, today is in Paris, France.

The briefest of sketches I’m afraid, but does anyone share this knowlege?

I've heard of this, yeah, wasn't it a very popular idea amongst the Rosicrucians too? the idea being that the Holy grail was actually the child of Jesus and Mary - but obviously that would get you in trouble for heresy it days gone by, so it's hard to find info about it.

a book called Holy Blood, Holy Grail might be a good starting point for anyone interested

I was referring to the cup that was saught after by the Knights of the round table and is depicted in art, and was featured in an india jones movie.
