What better way to bring together the two great passions of your life, then to have a Vampire Wedding. I have not yet met anyone who has done this, and on the net all I can find are some overly theatrical themed weddings, where everyone wears far too much make-up.

Of course, there must be more meaning to it than this.

Have you daydreamed your own Vampire wedding (or bonding ceremony)? Do you know someone who has actually had a Vampire wedding?
Dante
Nope. I read about one in Katherine Ramsland's book Piercing the Darkness, but that's it. I'm afraid I'm not much help.

i've never heard of one of them, but i'm guessing it would just be loads of people dressed up in dark and gothic clothing, use your imagination a bit

Didn't it just!

I refuse to believe that nobody has thought out a meaningful, stylish ceremony for those with a deep affiliation for the vampire lifestyle. Maybe they are just keeping it secret. The search continues... by the way Dante, at least give us some idea of what it was like!

Damn, that pic was awful. When NV said vampire wedding, I pictured a couple in an old castle, all candles and lit fireplaces, at night, of course. Her dress was red, long, with a cape and hood. He was dressed in a stylish, old fashioned tux. People tossing red rose petals on the carpet as she passed down the aisle. Then I saw that picture and went ahhh, and the rest flew out of my mind.

Exactly...how could they get it so wrong!!!

I suppose a lot depends on where you want to get married, I'm sure some states have different regulations. I guess at first you need to research what you are allowed to do. Over here, many old buildings (including the converted mansion in which I work) are licensed for civil marriages, but I don't know how it works wherever you are. I'm assuming your in the US but do correct me if I'm wrong.

Do your friends have any special talents such as interior design, dress-making, suit-maiking, that kind of thing? Talented friends can come in very handy and they'd be really moved that you wanted to include them in your plans.

Well you've obviously given it some thought - what does your 'significant other' have in mind?

But yeah, first research regulations on weddings where you live. We have local councils that handle that sort of thing, you need to approach the US equivalent.

We're still in the planning stages. Luckily the gentleman and I have much in common when it comes to this sort of thing. We've so far decided on outdoors and as simple as possible. There's new wrinkles of course, like being a trio instead of a couple, but all things can be worked out.

Interesting idea, but if an Elvis impersonator shows up singing "The Monster Mash" I am outta there....
