A while back I was up late listing to the radio and I heard a rather interesting story about a self proclaimed lucifarian. A lucifarian is a person who has vivid dreams of the future through representation of figures and images in there dreams. The reason I would start such a topic is becuase i saw a topic description around here talking about seeing and predicting lottery numbers. In this case, on the radio this self proclaimed lucafarian claimed that he made his living of his dreams showing the future lottery numbers. But he uncovered something much more interesting than that. A radical but appealing concept, that nintey seven percent of the world could be destroyed within the time frame of this year. Now the means in which this could happen is varied according to this guest. What he basically stated was that he had a rather significant series of reacurring dreams in which he was engaged in remote viewing and seeing the earth from the depths of space. And a giant mass moves in closer towards the earth, this mass has no character or reference in which to describe it. This is interpreted as a sign that something bad is going to happen, and soon. The methods in which it could happen totally vary, it could be a astroid striking the east coast of the United states sending a tital wave or sunami around the world destroying every major continant in its path. This could be interpreted as a world crises or point of intolerance were our world leaders proceed to piss each other off enough and pull the switch of nuclear devestation. But all in all after this extravagant end there will still be three percent of the world that will live on in a corrupted and abnormal exsistance. I can only imagine what that would be like a world without boundries, limits, chaos unfolding in every direction. Anywayz sorry to ramble on just wanted to know if anybody else has any knowlege of lucid dreaming and/or lucifarians. Or any experiances with remote viewing, astral projection or anything of the sorts. Just like visions, unexplained preminitions and I higher amount of perception these signs in life must be here for some reason it can't just be random subconscience images retorted back to us in our sleep or seizures of the brain.

Intrigued by a dying Earth
Saturn9
Is this who they got to fill Howard Stern's slot?

In all honesty though, the apocalypse would be pretty fuckin tight.
Just to live in a post-apocalyptic world.
Fail
I think the most impacting part would be watching it all come down, seeing the world slowly fall apart and engulf humanity. I and I'd say closer to Art Bell not Howard Stern.

I would die happy and forever owing you for the light you have brought into my life. Washing away the disdain of society and comforting me. Destroying all my frustration with just one kiss. And to taste you, to hold you, to feel my hands held against your body. To smell that sweet fragerance, aroma surronding me, making me see the world with a new understanding. A new begining created by you as we destroy our moral delimas. And if the world did end, tital waves crashing, fault lines cracking, sky falling inward I would want nothing more than to experiance it with you, as we comfort eachother into the darkness and unknown abyss, fearless in eachothers arms as i run my hands through your hair, soft like silk, smelling sweet like a bed of roses surrounded by a feild of lilacs and all the sensual scents of the earth. Holding our desires and givin in to our temptations as the earth rips apart in front of our eyes. Fire intilled in my deep blue eyes as i gaze into your cat like emerald eyes gleaming in the light of destruction surrounding us. Never second guessing our situation or jepordizing our lives. Time seizing to exist as we clutch the final seconds and draw them out into decades.

Awww how sweet.... wub.gif

Anyway, it was probably just for ratings, the same reason Jerry Springer is still on. jerry.gif Also, it was probably the only time slot they could give the guy, considering the contents of the program.

Mommy, what is the apocolypse? :P
Fail
Well the show is based around phenomenom and things like that, its based out of L.A. and has a different guest every night for four hours. So it was a pretty detailed story, though very skeptical its still a really interesting theory the guy worked out. Still interesting non the less, but jerry springer will alwayz be on the air until humanity seizes to feed off of its obsession with the ugly and mindless acts that is Jerry springer. But hey i can't lie I've watched it many times, as we all have.

I have come up with some of my own theories. Thank god no one puts them on the air. Then again, some of mine involve things like "why cats sleep so much". :)
Fail
Cats sleep so much? They don't really sleep they just sit saving their energy for a quick pounce. Constantly stalking every aspect of life in the room that they are sitting in. Curious and cautiosly cats are pretending to sleep when really they are observing every little thing around them.

If the world ended today, or tomorrow, it wouldn't be any different from any other day. (Hm...note to self, place that in a poem one day)

I had a dream about a year ago that a friend of mine was going to go away for a while, and I was really upset in my dream, and worried, but I let her go. There was a bright light and she waved to me, but at that moment she was no longer herself, she was something else, I couldnt recognize her so it didnt matter that we were saying goodbye. The next day I recieved a phone call from her mom. My friend who I had dreamed of that night had killed herself that same night of my dream. Fail, you asked if anyone else had any experiences with lucid dreams, I'm not sure if this is one, or maybe my friend was saying goodbye to me in my dreams. I don't consider it a coincidence at all so that is why I wanted to share it with you.

Articia

Life is just a dream until death.
Fail
Thats a very interesting experiance you had there, as you described it in such detail and could probably describe it in even further detail if you needed to. Yes, that would be considered a form of lucid dreaming, a deep dream state where it seems like you are fully awake and interacting with the dream. Although this situation sounds like it could be linked more towards telepathy. Where maybe your friend sent you these images or somehow entered your dream, which is probably possible in life or death. If you believe in the soul that is energy can not be destroyed merely just change forms. So it is possible that such a thing could happen at least in my eyes, but i am not the least skeptical about matters of a existance after death. I am sure if you dig around you'll probably find other experiances just like this.

DeathscytheH02
A gigantic mass approaching the palnet from space, he says?

Sounds like the Death Star...or Unicron. Either way, I find it hard to believe even three percent of the world could make it out alive.
Fail
Well I think that three percent is the margin of error left by the destruction. What ever it is, it's obvious that It can weild some impacting damage on our planet. Furthur more the ones that did survive are probably those that have access to bombshelters or subterrainian dwellings. And even if that didn't save them the survivors would walk around the earth horribly disfigured and life would exist on a different chain of events. But I think its possible, I think its radically out of line to beleive that anythings impossible. I guess you just have to weigh it out with science and phenomina and make the choice for yourself. Maybe if were lucky the Ewoks will take over and dominate the world Lol......

four times in the history of this planet has an event occured that wiped out 99% of all life, which with in only a few million years was replaced by something new that took up the niches, I doubt humans at their current level could survive as a species from such an event and the after math effects. however something will, what exactly is hard to say, luck plays and important role in such matters. but

bacteria, cockroaches, mice, rats, finches, foxes, lizards, fish, crustacions, insect, and so forth those animals with the most varied diets and wide spread populations have the best chance, and humans may be wide spread but humans can hardly eat just about anything "omnivores yes, but the digestive system is very fragile to infection in humans"

Yes, I can definantly agree with that if any human life sustained such a impact or drastic change which the planet had undergone they would as a species, or race die off fairly quick. But I was just picturing those who would survive for the time frame being. Lingering the broken earth knowing that there is no chance of survival of humans. But it is a interesting thought to think about what kind of life would evolve from the worlds rebirth. Perhaps within time life could evolve into something close to humanity, but of coarse radically different in almost every way. Its one massive cycle turning itself over again and again always confronting the world with new creatures and unlimited possibilities. But a valid point you had about life carrying on, if a roach can survive a nuclear blast than I am sure a single cell could be saved if the world did come across such a rebirth.
