i was just wondering what was the forums favourite mythical animals

I only hope for the day when they make a good werewolf movie thats not just the same old story or something that looks like it belongs in a comic book or sci-fi magazine.

I really REALLY wanted to say Unicorn. I've loved them all my life. But if some kind of diety came down in front of me and said "Here's a Unicorn and a Vampire, you can choose one of these things to actually exist." I would have to go with the vampire simply because they facinate me.

Hehe. I'm back with the same guy, if it's the story I think you're referring to. Unfortunately now, a lot of the mess gets attributed to the cats. (Sounds, missing things, etc.) So videotaping is out of the question. Every now and then something strange still happens though.

On the other hand, don't know if I told you guys about this one. I was staying with a girlfriend in Uptown New Orleans, in one of those really old two-story type deals. Well, she had three kids, aged 7, 8 & 9 at the time, and the youngest was a little boy, Nathan. One morning I got up for breakfast, and was standing at the foot of the stairs, and I saw Nathan out of the corner of my eye, and said something to him. Well, he didn't answer and I thought it strange, since her kids were ALWAYS talking to me, lol. Mentioned it to her that afternoon, and she said, oh you've seen him too! Turns out there was a ghost there that looked just like Nathan. I saw him a couple of times after that, too, and always at the foot of the stairs.

Satyr=the lower half of the body is that of a goat with only two legs and a small tail, the torso is human, and atop the head are two small goat horns, they were originally nature spirits in service of the god Pan who shared the same form as them, later on these lustful creatures that seduced human women were demonized by the church and many images of satan were given the form of a satyr as lust was considered a sin.
the Foan I believe was either the female counter part or the less horny counter part or both.

SPEAKING of which, i got this really cool background. It's the moon, except it automatically changes the pictures to be consistantent for what phase the moon is in. perfect for you techie werewolfs. (because you would hate for there suddenly be a full moon when you're near your precious computer...)

I voted vampire... because they can be extremely powerful, and if they wanted to they could defeat anything... They just have to survive long enough... Age is everything! :)

I chose Lycanthrope because I like the bestial aspect of the creature... while everyone chooses Vampirism if I would have to choose I would choose to be an Lycanthrope simply because theyre cooler and more bestial... what I noticed was that Dragon wasnt in the list I wouldve chosen that if it were..

the lack of dragons here is why I made the favorite dragon thread and I felt all the main types of "dragons/dragon like" creatures should be mentioned,
I have noticed werewolves and vampires have a tendency to stay about tied here, guess thats why they are the two main monsters

I went with unicorns.

They are my favorite. so majestic and perfect. if i could be anything in the world. i would be a unicorn.

I like Demons. They can come in all shapes and sizes.

I chose Centaurs...and it looks like i've been the first one so far heehee. I dunno partly because I'm Sagitarrius but also because I think of centaurs as wholesom creatures and I dunno I just like them.

i voted for werewolves.. probably becasue i really love wolves - they're so beautiful. When wolves howl it's amazing and beautiful too.. it seems a shame to taint the qualities of a wolf with some of the attributes we call human, but the idea of a werewolf is just something that seems really beautiful..

if any of you have ever seen Blood:the last vampire you'll know what a chiopteran is. if you haven't, the a chiopteran is like sort of like a were-vamp. it's very cool. if it was on the list i would have voted for it sadly it wasn't, so i chose other.
