This is thread to add any requests for information or topic suggestions that you might have. I am in the process of harnessing more information for a variety of new threads. I've already placed up minor information on Lycanthropes and Arthurian lore.. Next up is Ghosts, Fae, Demonic, and maybe something like Zombies or.. I dunno.. Also I might do some Culture specific lore threads.. such as Native American, Irish/Scot, something like that... also when I'm through putting up the basic threads, I'll really go back and pump it full of info. So expect long winded threads :-P
Anything specific you'd want to see or know a little more about then just leave a post about it on here and if I have time, then I shall get to it.
Thanks,
Lazarus.

Oh, also meant to add I'm going to do a series of threads on famous creatures such as the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, etc. Any suggestions there would be nice as well :)
Thank you,
Lazarus.

What a fucking awesome idea! I like the Loch Ness Monster the mostest. (Yes, I know mostest isn't a word...I'm being cute). So yeah...that's my input. I don't really have any questions yet...

Yes, it is a compliment, I'm a great fan of Diversity: plus, the unthinkable has happened...I'm getting bored of the whole Vampires Topic.
Everything you've mentioned sounds good so far. If you need the assistance of a self confessed know-it-all (me) just send an IM. ;)

Heheh thanks baby *kisses Sherri* I'll be sure to add the Loch Ness Monster one soon, just for you *winks*
Ah, thanks mate. And yeah.. the whole vampires thing has bored the living daylights out of me. So I decided it was rather a waste of my knowledge of Lore to waste it on just boring-ass-overdone vampires.. while I'll still add to that somewhat.. I'm now going to focus more on diversity of Lore.. and I might petition to have "vampires in blahblah.. vampires in blah blah" removed alltogether from the Codex forum's descriptions if at all possible. Anyways, feel free to add any input on the topics or to start any up on your own, which I'll add to.. either way :)

It seems the question I put in the lycanthropes thread was what I meant to put here. I was asking, do you have anything on Japanese mythology, if not I read a book that at least clears up the whole Kitsune thing that few seem to get staright on line "Kitsune, Japans fox of, Mystery, Intrigue, and Romance" if that doesn't turn up anything try re-aranging the last three words I get them out of order sometimes. also you wouldn't happen to know the names of three of the orients animal shapeshifters "The vampiric cat women", "the weasel demon not badger demon" I ask that and people say Tanuki but thats the Badger demon and I know they are seperate" and one very interesting one whose name I wish I had written down, I believe its Japanese, its a vampiric snake woman but all that brings to peopl's minds is the Naga but I know thats not it for this one. As a snake she was said to bark. or maybe the barking snake was on the next page in that book I heard them in "not the same book mentioned above" .

Kamaitachi is the weasel demon, I believe.. can't really remember.. I can't remember vampiric cat women.. though the Yasha are the vampiric BAT women.. lol.. actually.. I do remember some tales about vampire cats.. but nothing about vampiric cat women.. hmm.. I can always look through my book of Japanese mythology later.. And uh.. Tanuki were racoon-demons I believe.

The book I read said with Tanuki: Japanese shapeshifting raccoon or Badger demon.
I thaught Yasha just meant demon in japanese
thanks for the weasel demon's name
I heard two japanese vampire cat women demon stories. In one a prince or nobel had found a beutiful woman who he took home and married but each morning he became more and more sick while his new wife seemed to become more and more healthy looking, one night I think t sai someone saw his wife enter his room and with magic drain some of his energy, the guards secretly set up a stake out and caught her draining him at which point she turned into a giant black cat and run away "it sounds like a variation on the korean kimiho stories but thats the Korean fox demon" in another story an old woman had been killed by one and replaced but that story had a mirrored story wiht another shapeshifter demon. a witch I believe. The snake woman story was a traveler saw a beutiful woman dancing naked slithering back and forth like a snake type dancing near a waterfall, the traveller like you typical idiot in these stories walked right up to her like a drunk idiot and tried to "take her" and she didn't run or anything just kepts dancing, he touched her and his hand burts out in horrible sores, this happened again with his other hand, at which point she reached and kissed him "same effect" the stories say she would then have sex with the man who had the same "effect" on his privates after she was done with him and he would eventually die days later "I think this story was suppose to be a type of old wives tale warining against haveing sex with starnge women STD's before they were known as such and the deterent story evolved into a myth "kind of like how parents would tell children to not go out at night alone because of hobgoblins and such" I read that snake woman story along time ago but it just came back to me because I was reading up on the legends of the Vampiric Trinidad monster snake woman Mama Dlo and I suddenly remembered a similar trick by another snake woman demon from across the world over In Japan, I know the stories are not related but it came back to me, I still can't remember the name of that fat sucking vampire in Central America, the locals even blaimed the United States companies claiming we hire them to kidnap people and take all their fat selling what they don't eat to the companies for use in products. That came back to me because Afganie people recently blaimed american troops thinking we woke up and unleashed a swarm of demonic blood sucking cats on them.
Also in the cat woman and the nobel story I could have sworn her name was Nyaki or something like that. maybe the title was Neko-Nyaki or something that sounded similar.

Demon in Japanese, is "Ma"
"Yasha" I believe is "Spirit" usually a malevolent one, but not always.

Well... I usually hear Tanuki referred to as raccoon demon.. but.. in most texts it never specified.. just describing it as a small furry creature with a tail.. so.. I guess it could go either way. But yeah.. I've usually heard the term Yasha describing a female vampiric bat, something about if she allowed her anger to consume her and as such lower her status in her rebirth.. etc etc..
Hmm.. good idea.. some Greek and Roman lore would be nice to see.

Culture specific would be a good way to start, ancient mythology and past religions hold a wide variety of therkin. Sphinx's, Medusa, Werewolves, and Werecats. Celtic, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Asian so on and so forth. I look forward to seeing what fruits of labor your threads post.

there are three threads thats focuse on the three variations of american culture and its demons, Also for the orient so far their is a thread dedicated to the Kitsune alone and another for all the other Japanese demons, plus recently I created two threads one for greek and another for Roman/Italian monsters. Very soon I will be back to my main database and be able to post more information for these topics, I could post off the top of my head but I would rather be more accurate than that :D .
Greek really has three threads, two focused on specific monsters and the third a general area. also their is a Golem's thread which has the Hebrew story in and some discussion so far, and another for the Naga.
