Jalo2peno
I guess I can count it...just this once...no, i'm just kiddin; hell yeah, it counts!
darkened scarlett
i liked Claudia from interview with the vampire the book...why? because she was just soo interesting...she was little yes but also had alot of power ^_^
Jalo2peno
yeah, you're right; she DEF held a lotta power for bein tha "lil lady" of tha group.
dreams of death
I agree I loved claudia. She was interesting in bothe the book and the film. As 'darkened scarlett' has already said, She id so small but holds within her so much power. Also she has so many different ideas. And although she looks like an innocent child in form, she is verry mature and wiser than alot of humans.
Setsetuya
I liked Don Sebastian De Villanueva. Most probably the goddamn best vampire I've ever encountered in a story.
Archangel
My favorite is my own creation, the Archangel Lemuel.
You can read about him in the Dark Whispers forum (Click the My Works and the My Novel links on my signature)
slouth2000
My fav vampire is the one in Castlevania: Sympony of the night, Alucard was his name I think, he was the main character. I chose him mainly because I don't know or remember any vampire's names i have seen in movies and stuff.
Vex
Adrian Farenheights Tepes (A.K.A. Alucard) of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is my favorite. Although, I must say that Lemuel is pretty freaking awesome.
Jalo2peno
wat's tha guy's name from "queen of tha damned"?
Nemesis Chylde
I rather like Nutpire. Haven't seen him for a while, though...

And, let's see...Mina in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Nemesis Chylde

Yeah, Alucard is Dracula spelled backwards. And let's remember that Alucard is actually a dampyl.

The Lord of the Rings series has had many books written about it. A shit load of movies, probably more than Dracula I dare say. So does that mean that really happened? No? Why is that? Because that is horrible logic.
Saturn9
Why has nobody said this yet...
"The Count" from Sesame Street!!!
Jalo2peno
COUNT CHOCULA!!!...he tastes so yummy :P
Aaron
IWillFearNoEvil

to lord_Bahumat: their are alot of documentaries on Dracula as in Dracula Vlad the Impaler their is one they show every october on the history channel or learning channel. Bram Stoker based his character on two historical figures
Vlad the impaler and'
Erzebet Bathory aka Elizabeth Bathory.

Vlad impaled his enemies on wooden poles which he set up making a "forest of the impaled" he was insane from being kept a prisoner by the Turks during his child hood. his cell was in the same place as the torture chamber, the turks thaught this would make him a cowardly little wimp that they could easily wanipulate.
It didn't work out that way. As soon as he was freed he immased a secret army of mercinarys and radicule followers of his father "Dracu" he captured all the coffers who had been taxing his people to death chained them together and used them as slave labor to help build his hill top fortress. when one droped from exhaustion he would have them kicked down the hill to their deaths.
He once had an abassodors turbin nailed to his head because he refused to remove it in Vlads presence.
their is one story to which two versions exist "and its still debated which was true but evidence shows that something happened. The local version says he invited all the thieves, rapists, murderers, and family of his enemies to a feast "likely just his enemies. the western european version says he invited all the lame, and retared to a feast. This feast was held in special stone room seperate from his castle, the guests didn't realize the room was filled with straw and all the furniture was wood. he left and had his guards lock the room and set it on fire burning all the guests alive. His soldiers suffered too, if he found wounds on their backs he assumed they ran from battleand had them killed, while those with wounds on the front were rewarded. the holy roman empire and the turks grew tired of him and chased himout of his territory. He vanished but the turks claimed they killed him and the genreal sent a head to their ruler saying it was vlads head the people of Transalvania have a grave for him that their records say a body was put in but their is no body in it now, when it was opened only a smashed pot was inside.

Erzebet/Elizabeth Bathory. She went around in a black carriage and picked up young prostetutes, she took them back to her manor chained them up in her dungeon and slit their throats and wrists, she drank their blood and bathed in, she believed this would let her live forever. She was caught and as punishment was walled up alive in her manor, she died but they claim they could hear her screams for two years despite not having any food or water in their with her.

Stoker took these two lunatics and based his character on them.

As for my favorite fiction vampire, I would have to say Rayne from the BloodRayne game "even though she is a Dhampir in the game" their is a sequal game coming out soon and they are starting to film a movie based on the game this year. as for book vampires I don't have a favorite. in movies I liked Nina or Mina what ever it was in LXG.

Yeah, I know. I used a horrible example. However, my point is still valid. Movies and books on a subject doesn't make it real.

well...yeah, who said they did? I didnt read that in any one's post it sounded like the person saw a documentary and got confused thinking it a false documentary or something.

Right there.
Soulforged2
Thinking that Vlad was imprisoned two or three times and then he was killed, I have my doubts...
neovampire
Well of all vampires I'd say ether D (Vampire hunter D the anime) or Lestat ( he was really cool in queen of the damned) There's probly better ones but I an't as into vampires as I used to be.
Solangette
Well, my favorite vampires are Demot and Legend!! They're the two main characters in my book, Gypsy Whisper. I've posted the story in Dark Whispers!! You should read it if you like
Crossdagger
My fav is Zeik Cross from my stories of Crossdagger and Preist for Hire. Not to copy you or anything Solangette. I actually respect the people who make their own books....it's really cool.

Thanks a lot!! I respect people who write their own stories, too! You should post your story so I can read it ^_^
Friction
My favourite vampire is the very powerful Lestat from Anne Rice's "The Vampire Chronicles". He reminds me so much of myself in everything that he does. Also Marius from the same series is very cool. He is one of the oldest vampires and he also reminds me a bit of myself.
Harvester of Sorrow
Julian Luna from the "Kindred - the Embraced" series... perfect prince of the city...
contessabathory
my favourite vamp is spike from buffy. need i say more?

to contessbathory: I have a question. How long do you think the writers can keep coming up with excuses to keep in in LA and not have him return to Buffy?, which I think is cancelled now as a show isn't it? the last I saw the town sank into hell.

yep, the hellmouth collapsed. i think spike's going to LA just to be near his grandsire (aka angel) since they have so much in common, the soul, buffy, fighting evil, etc.
KingRoB
well, if were talkin about tv, then I gotta say the vampire Willow. Thats just nice.... beyond that, If any of you are comic people, you might know of an issue of "what if?" in which Storm of the X-Men, bitten by Dracula, helps him kill and turn the X-Men. Wolverine becomes damn powerful, kills Dracula, and becomes the Lord of Vampires, turning all mutants and killing off humans en mass. That was pretty bad-ass. Beyond that, Claudia was awesome, as was Lestat... I think I just might be torn... How about the Count in "Nosferatu?"

And now that I think about it... what about Seline from Underworld? She had an interesting back story, and shes just too HOT to ignore....
Friction
Uhhmm KingRoB, if you are talking the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then Willow was never a Vampire, she is a Witch. There is quite a bit of difference.
kittyvamp
I thought that Willow was a vampire before buffy became one?
Friction
Sorry to tell you, but Buffy nor Willow ever became Vampires.
darkfaery
my favorite vampire is Aubrey from Amelia Atwater-Rhodes books
Misu
Angelus is the ultimate vampire.

Why? Cocky attitude, twisted mind, two-hundred seventy years on him, plus he's GORGEOUS, how can you _not_ love him? Unless you dislike the concept of an ultimate evil, Angelus is the best.

Now, while I'm all for the evil stuff, an equally cute (I mean EXACTLY as cute), angst-ridden, brooding vampire is all good too, one that's forever plagued by his past and the ill deeds he committed then. Remember when I said equally cute? Considering this vamp, Angel, is the ensouled alter-ego of Angelus, I definitely meant that.
Misu
About the vampire Willow debate....

YES. She DID turn into a vampire. In the episode 'Orpheus', on ANGEL: the Series, which showed at 10 pm central on Tuesday, the 20th of January, she stated to Wesley (Wyndham-Pryce) that she'd been "dark" when he told her that she wouldn't understand. She continued that she'd flayed a man alive and tried to destroy the world. While not saying specifically that she was a vampire, she did say 'ultimate evil' (which brings to mind my previous post about Angelus). Though I don't watch much Buffy, I've picked up quite a bit about the show from various sites, including City of Angel and other resource pages. They state that Xander and Willow turned evil. I believe Xander turned into a hyena demon or a vampire; I'm still foggy about that detail, but it clearly stated that she'd turned into a vampire. Take it from a learned source, Willow WAS a vampire at one point.
Friction
If Willow did ever become a Vampire (and I watched nearly every episode and don't remember it ever happening), then the writers surely did f*#k up. Because we all know that once you become a Vampire, there is no going back.
Krelian
My favorite vampire is probably Alucard (or Arucard if you prefer) from the anime and manga series Hellsing. He has all sorts of interesting powers, is very handsome and stylish, and doesn't go around killing people for no reason.

I highly suggest checking out Hellsing, even if you aren't into anime. :)
Valic The dead
My favorite vampire is Maharet's sister her name is lost to me right now, and I don't have my books with me to find it. I think she's the best because she was ruthless in her revenge against Akasha, and she is mysterious.
